Over at the comixfan forums, Chris Claremont posted that Forge would be appearing in Uncanny X-Men this coming fall :D . I can't wait to see the Alan Davis version of forge.

Twould be nice to see Forge been written 'well', for a change. And prominently in the team I hope.

It's new news to me and this new news deserves its own thread, IMO. Thanks, Ant-Man!

Awesome, i've always hoped Forge would get his fair chance as an X-Man

Forge fans note -- he'll be appearing in CABLE & DEADPOOL #15 and #18 as well.
Not that I could ever handle him as well as Chris does, but he is in character. He does his Forge type stuff. He does make fun of Deadpool.
All good.

Forge is one of the best x-characters.
Its a shame most just write him as a glorified mechanic

Agreed, more attention should be given to who and what Forge is as opposed to just his handiness.

You know, I'd like to see Forge expanded on. I feel like I don't know him. Because the only thing I think of when I think of Forge is mechanic and he used to date storm.
You guys should all educate me. I'd like to know more about him- what makes you like him so much? Feel free to gush about Forge! I'm interested.

I'm interested.Read his Spotlight (http://uncannyxmen.net/db/spotlight/showquestion.asp?faq=10&fldAuto=87&page=2) for factual information. But read his earliest issues for the emotional ties. It's his relationships and his trepidation that make him a great character.

forge works well as a background character, but really as a main character who can build anything given time its hard to work with. ive read the earlier stories, and id have to say my favorite forge-inclusive stories happened in x-men 1-3 and the few uncanny issues he was in with storm.

you have to go back to like 180 and life death and that adversary stuff to love the cahracter. I didnt really like him till i read that. Anyone who doesnt like forge just hasnt read the old stuff

It would be great if he could rekindle the relationship with Storm, as I always thought they were perfect for each other.
I didn't like the Mystique/Forge romance at all, although I thought he worked well as her gadget man in her series.
If Forge is back, can Banshee be too far behind??

Gotta say, the character of Forge always made me just shake my head and go "How can THAT be a mutant power?"

I've read the old stuff, and I still dislike Forge.

Forge's mutant power is to create anything intuitively, but he must go through the logical steps to get the desired machine. This could hours, weeks, months, or years to happen depending on the machine or weapon. He's not a genuis like Reed Richards to skip steps. Forge is also a powerful sorcerer, but he is divided about his own mystical nature since it gives him nothing but grief.

The amazing guest stars never end.
Agent X, the Fixer, the Silver Surfer, Forge, the X-Men, Constrictor, Solo...seriously, who doesn't buy this book?

I don't. Sorry, just don't like Cable or Deadpool enough to read a solo focusing on them. Same reason I don't read District X. :)

Oh, but my dear Beastie, CDP covers much more of the broad Marvel Universe than Cable and Deadpool's worlds. I think if you gave the book a try, you'd be surprised at its scope - especially the recent issues. It deals with the development of what is essentially an Eden in the MU, and how human nature (aka "Deadpool") acts upon it. You won't be able to not be amused, and you'll be impressed. Why, the next arc is even dealing with some incarnation of Apocalypse! Isn't that loooOOOooovely?!
