Well, with just one week untill this enormously great mini is compleated I thought it would be nice to have a discussion on what everyone thought would happen in the last issue.
So far we've seen Phoenix come back,
Quitin(sp?) come back,
Jean come back,
Wolverine kill Jean,
Jean come back,
Wolverine kill Jean,
Jean come back,
Wolverine kill Jean,etc.
Emma take on the Phoenix force,
Scott and Emma get locked in the 'egg' togather.
What does everyone think will happen?
Will Jean stay dead? (at least through the end of the book anyway)
Will Emma stay hoast of the Phoenix force?

Well there are preview pages for Endsong #5 at Pop culture shock aka Buzzscope now.

Emma flying around with the phoenix force makes me sick to my stomach.
But apparently she is just a shell and not even a host and it is burning through her.

You know I didn't really mind it, I just want to see Jean Grey and Scott finally talk. Just one panel really, just give this fanboy something.

I dont understand what is going on at all. This is so messy. I doubt Im going to like the outcome either. :(

OMG! I'll be really upset if they are going to kill off Emma, she is the real reason I started reading comics. It's almost enough to just stop...
But I feel bad for Emma, and I think the whole reason for this messy(not gonna lie...) story is to show that Emma is good and that she does love Scott and she does want to be part of the team. All minis are showing that, that include her after all anyway, isn't it?

I think bringing Jean back in Endsong would be a bad idea, so she'll be dead but Astonishing or... the Fantastic Four will probably have a sequel issue to this series.

What don't you understand?
Phoenix isinhabiting Emma, Emma can't control it, Phoenix trying to escape from the egg. Quentin is thier as he wants Pheonix to resurrect his dead girlfriend.

Emma flying around with the phoenix force makes me sick to my stomach.
You and me both. Is it wrong for me to cheer on the Phoenix as it burns through Emma? :p
Jean will probably be back after this.
I really hope so. Initially I hoped that there'd be an ending much like "The Dark Phoenix Saga: The Untold Story" with Jean surviving, but her connection to the Phoenix Force completely severed. That doesn't seem likely now, though. :(
As for the final issue, I have a sinking feeling that it will end with Jean's body preserved under the ice so her inevitable resurrection will be in tune with X3.

Well I have read advanced spoilers about Phoenix Endsong. I am not going to post them here because I think that most fans should be allowed to be surprised by the outcome and any possible revelations.
That being said...
Those who think (as I was beginning too) that this series was bad because Pak and the editors didn't understand Jean Grey and the Phoenix and their relationship to each other needs to hold off judgement and read this issue.
If what I hear is correct we the fans need to support this book and buy it up.
Unfortunately Phoenix Endsong sales has been declining with each issue. :( Lets see if we can't turn that around. :)

Any chance Kitty'll get killed doing that fastball special? That'd be nice. She needs a vacation, and it would give Colossus a chance to play a cheery round of "out of sight, out of mind." (Not implying that he's dumb or anything. Oh, no.)

Once again, Sandoz, I agree 100%. And no, it's not wrong to cheer on the Phoenix... partly because I would like to see Emma be bbq'd up. =/
Anyway, I don't see what's so difficult to understand about this issue so far. A bit messy, yes, but it's basically just Quentin being a douche and breaking the egg and Emma flying around with the Phoenix...

Thank you Tag and ChaosMothra.
This looks really good, and I really hope Jean comes back. Although it doesn't look too good for Emma, relationship wise... which means poor Jean will probably be subjected to his... infadelity issues once more eventually.

As long as they don't try to finish the mini by having someone 'wake up' an it was all just a dream then this will still be a good mini.
I don't see them doing this but on the other hand I also don't see how they will be able to finish the mini from this point in just one issue.
