Madrox?

Have we heard anything about Madrox lately? That PAD mini was really good. Because of the whole detective-take, I was partly expecting to see his name appear in the July solicit for Mutopia X, but alas, it was nowhere to be found.

He should have had the first arc and then Madrox should have got the second and someone else for the 3rd etc

I assumed the Mutopia X to be a replacement title for Distric X during HoM

I remember when the mini was coming to a close that PAD was discussing further options with Marvel; apparently he chose to write the Madrox mini over a revival of his X-Factor line-up but given Madrox called his company X-Factor investigations I am expecting/hoping for an announcement of a new X-Factor book primarily set around Madrox's detective agency to come soon

Yeah, I thought the same, but then I couldn't see why they were cancelling District X and launching a mini to take its place. I was hoping there would be a transition of characters.

All we know so far is that Madrox will be in HoM, and something will be coming out with him in it after HoM as well.

I'd love to see District X/Mutopia X written by Frank Miller (Sin City), and see his take on characters like Bishop, Madrox, Stacy X, etc.

I know that Rhane is leaving the line up of New X Men. I haven't picked up the Milligan Run of X Men, and I was wondering how secure Polaris and Havok's places are on the team - are any indications that they might leave to rejoin X Factor?

Well ... Iceman and Polaris kinda have something going on, and Havok isn't too happy about it (though he won't say it). Last I remember (and I could be forgetting something), Wolverine was trying to get Havok to let Iceman know how he felt about the situation. Havok just keeps brushing it off and pretending he doesn't care about the Iceman/Polaris chemistry.

That being said, I actually wouldn't think that X-Factor would be *totally* out of the question. And then Iceman could finally take charge of a team! ;)

I'd prefer it if Havok and Polaris weren't in a new X-Factor series. I absolutely love the connection between Madrox, Rahne, and Guido, and I'd be happy if it was just the three of them doing investigations and such.

Well, Multiple Man, Strong Guy, and Wolfsbane are obvious choices. I would love to see Val Cooper come in. I would also like to see Quiksilver, whom I feel didnt get enough time in X-Factor. Archer/Fixx wouldnt fit with them, so I dont think they should join at first. I would like to see Skids join. She was an X-Terminator, and I think she is an excellent character who needs a chance to shine. Maybe Pete Wisdom, too. Forge, maybe, or maybe not. I wouldnt want Wildchild, Mystiuqe, or Sabretooth to join. Now isnt the time.

Speaking of Madrox, I never picked up the issues, but have heard such good things about it that I wanted to pick up the trade. Does anyone know if Marvel is even planning a trade? I know the book had pretty low numbers throughout.

I think the trade came out last week actually. Or at least that's when I saw it laying on the new release table at my local shop.

Nice. I'm gonna see if my store's got it. I really enjoyed PAD's X-Factor, and after hearing everyone I'm sure I'll enjoy this.
