Damn, that was excellent. I'm a huge fan of Rucka and Amanoa as well as the characters. I read the first one when it came out, but never got around to the last two issues and then they got buried.

Unfortunately, I saw the crappy Elektra movie which was supposedly based on this book. It was said this and Elektra: Assasin were what the movie was based on. Bullcrap! The Harry Potter movie is more of a film of Books of Magic than that Elektra movie was of these books. Hell, Blade was a better adaptation of MacBeth than the Elektra movie was based on these books. The movie was such watered down generic Hollywood crap.

This book was 100x better of a movie than that piece of crap in thearters was.

Plus it was really interesting to see Amano render Wolverine and Elektra. At least once he actually made Wolverine look feminine! Heh. That's pretty good considering how some of his characters look. Of course seeing him render Elektra, as pale as she ended up, was something. Not only does the charcter remind me of an ex, but she also got me hooked on Amano's work.

And what gorgeous work it is. I wish I could get posters of it. I missed out on the Batman poster he did. I got a number of Vampire Hunter D wallscrolls up in my room. I have bought a number of Amano's artbooks including his Alice Erotica even though the text is all Japanese. Oddly, i still haven't gotten around to getting Sandman: Dreamhunters.

Anyway, just felt like sharing my love of that book and despising of that movie.
