I've always thought Gambit works better as a team member ora guest star than a solo act anyway.

If only they cranked up the voodoo quotient even higher this book would still be alive.

Now that I think about it, if they had played up the psychic card reading aspect of Gambits powers, this book would have been a winner!

I am disappointed. I hate the Gambit character, but I really, really enjoyed this book. It was one of the more light, fun books out there!

I was going to read it, but I just didnt. oh well. Atleast there are less solo series. I dont like how there are all these solo series of characters that are already in the mix (Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit, coming soon Storm, etc) when they could have done stuff like "Archangel and Husk", or "Magma", or others.

Pretty much expected by everyone isn't it?
I read the first two issues and didn't enjoy it that much. I'lll keep an eye out for the issues at discounted prices now that it's cancelled.
I'm shocked, absolutely shocked, Gambit is getting canceled!
Now Gambit can join Emma Frost, Mystique, Jubilee among canceled titles. Rogue is not far behind.
Maybe Gambit can be in The New Warriors book? :evilsmile

Exactly why I never even bothered picking it up to begin with.

And the funny thing is, you know that sooner or later, they'll be back again. And I liked the current writer on Rogue too, ah well. Marvel doesn't seem to want to give up on their solo titles and limited series. Don't forget Madrox and Shatterstar. Or is that still continuing? 0_o

The editors lack a vision for the individual books. Marvel just seems to publish them & hope they all stick. This is really not a way to go about publishing anything.

Joining Excalibur.
-Nickyes, I know that, Im reading the book. I meant a series for them to be in for the 9 months that they were in Limbo for.
Madrox is over. X-Force: Shatterstar is only on the 2nd issue, and it aint going past the 4th.

The more I think about it, the more I can see Gambit dieing soon. His character has lost so much popularity lately.....

well he only works as a mysterious recurring guest . He needs to be off any team on a regular basis , to break up with rogue , and to hook up again with dark people as Sinister .
half of his past charm was his constant ambiguity , "good or evil ?" , and also the plot induced by bishop about a traitor to xavier and the xmen . once all of those were resolved he became a stupid clown throwing cards , and "mon chere" all the time , while bringing down Rogue .

Well I actually thought this book was fun, *shrugs* each to his/her own, but i don't feel any pain in it being canceled, I suspect that Rogue is also being canceled since it did not have a solicitaion for July.
Nightcrawler will not be far behind I willing to bet.
Also th Storm book is a 4 issue limited, and there is also a 6 issue Kitty Pyrde limited coming out.

Honestly, I'm glad it's cancelled. Of the solo books born out of Reloaded and what followed, it was the worst of the bunch. There was no originality, and it was just the same old, same old with Gambit. It's a shame that Jubilee only survived 6 issues, where as Gambit and Rogue have lasted 12. As for Nightcrawler, it was the best of the bunch. Shame that it hasn't gotten the attention it deserves for trying to be 'different' in the sea of X-Titles. :(

TBH, Im quite happy, Gambit and Rogue really annoy me, and this was just another pointless X-book.

Yay for the cancellations of meaningless X-books. That just leaves room to give us back X-Factor. :D

X-Factor Rocked!
Personally they should really cut this solo seris b.s. for most of the X-men. If they want to do sometihng, Mini's aren't bad and if they happen to garner some attention then maybe consider them 1) for a old book 2) remove them from the team so somebody who isn't being used can be used and get a bit of the spotlight.

Cutting Gambit for something completely meaningless like X-Factor is a crime against humanity. However, since the writing on this current Gambit series is a crime against humanity...
*Sigh*
With a better writer, this book could have been something. Oh well. $3.00 back in pocket every month.

Hey, I enjoyed it. It was really fun- especially the last two issues, and 'fun' is good.
