BLEACH!
It is a great series that started a while ago (it's on episode 27 at the mo) and the manga is quite a way ahead.
I can't recommend it enough. imho it is up there with the very best of them.

I blame it on Aub. Also there's been more than a few Bleach threads, both here, and on Rumbles. But I have only seen two eps, and the Manga is still on my "to-do" list.

I'm really enjoying the manga, but haven't watched a whole lot of the anime. Kubo's a great mangaka, though... I liked Zombie Powder, so it's no surprise that I like Bleach.

Been reading ahead in the manga myself, though I haven't tried the anime. There's been this massive story arc with the Soul Society, which has been quite entertaining. Personally, though, I wonder what will happen with the hollows shown earlier (like Menos Grande and the one that killed Ichigo's mom).
EDIT: Oh, and the series is good! I definitely recommend it.

I have the feeling that there is something big going down with the Hollows, and that the Hollow that killed Rukia's crush way back had something to do with it. How else would a Hollow get the power to destroy a Shingami's sword just by touching them with his tentacles?

Yes, I'm a secret mod and I delete every Bleach thread as soon as it pops up. Grrr.
Anyways, the manga's amazing at the moment. Haven't seen the anime or anything, but the manga really picks up once Ichigo and co. go to Soul Society.

Yeah, in regards to the spoiler, that's where the anime is at the moment, I feel it's really done the manga justice.
For those who enjoy the manga, I'd strongly recommend the anime. Very good stuff. Prob my fav at the moment. :)

Agreed. The fights and the characters are incredible. If the anime is really that faithful, I wouldn't mind checking it out. The question is, how long can it stay faithful before being forced to rely on filler?

Well, I read 174 chapters in three days (had to work). I think the anime is somewhere between a third and halfway through that set of chapters. So they got some time to burn, not counting the extra stuff they can safely put in fight scenes.
Just wish Ichigo would bother borrowing moves from his "white friend". That guy's nasty. :evilsmile
The biggest problem is we still have no clue where Grand Fisher went....

Yeah, Hollow Ichigo is all shades of scary.
As for Grand Fisher, there seems to be some sercret organization that's slowly organizing the Hollows and amping them up. Like I mentioned before, it's sort of hinted that that one Hollow in Rukia's flashback was connected in some way, because he had an unusually powerful ability for a Hollow. A power that practically made him kryptonite for Shinigami.

Yea, it seems that Aizen was possibly one responsible for the amping of that Hollow with the ability to nullify a Shinigami or at least he says that he was successful in doing it. And it seems that Urahara is able to change Hollows into Shinigami and vice versa. He also saw fit to hide the machine capable of doing this inside of Rukia by giving her a Gigai(a human shell) that wouldn't recover her powers as it would be traceable by Soul Society. The Gigai also turns it's user into a normal human after a certain time.
I really like Bleach, it starts kind of slow but when it picks up, it's really interesting. Gin is possibly one of the creepiest villain i've ever seen. Walking around with his eyes closed and smiling all the time, it's eerie.

Didn't like the anime at all. Might try the manga while I wait for the next GantZ installment.
