I am planning to do the 24 Hour Comics Day challenge at BuyMeToys.com's physical comic book store this next weekend (April 23rd). Woo-hoo!
It's a challenge where you try to do 24 pages of a comic in 24 consecutive hours. If you submit your artwork to Scott McCloud (who created the event ...and Zot!), you may even have a chance to get published by him. There are supposedly over 70 comics shops around the world participating as hosts for the artists who are attempting this, in its second year. They provide food, drinks, entertainment, and a place to nap if needed. You bring you own supplies, but no scripts, sketches, or partners can be brought in. You can learn more about the event at http://www.24hourcomics.com . I think this will be wicked fun and I am very psyched.
Is anyone else here as crazy as me? It'd be great to know some of you creative CBRers are giving this a go too. Best wishes if you are!
