I just thought I'd give you guys a heads up in case you didn't get the email about this. It's from April 15 - 17th only, but there is a TON of stuff available. Here's the link:

Happy Shopping! :D

I'm afraid I have to hate you now. I gave up on NOIR after the first couple of volumes, because I didn't enjoy it enough to keep spending $30 for each disc.

But for $12 a pop, it would be worth it for what they have.

And I'm a mite bit curious about CRYING FREEMAN.

And comics/sf fans might be happy to see some ANDROMEDA, FARSCAPE, and MUTANT X shows up there.

Craaaaaap.

And might anyone recommend a good SAMURAI X disc from that list to start off with?

Thanks for the link,
-Augie

You're welcome! I'll take that kind of hatred. :D

Just ordered the comp. Crying Freeman for $22 and that Parasite Dolls movie. Samauri X looked cool, but I was unaware of where to start. I think the movies are most likely a safe bet. I checked the reveiws on Amazon on a few offerings for some ideas.

Shipping was only $7 too.

ARGH!

I only saw this link today! And it no longer brings up the sales list so Ill just have to comment on Samurai X's entire catalogue at ADV:

I have the complete collection of RK discs (both these and the TV series). As far as the stuff published by ADV under the Samurai X titles go, I strongly reccommend getting Trust and Betrayl (in that order since they are basically 2 discs of a 4-part miniseries). Don't bother with any of the "Director's Cuts" because they are basically the same material with about 5 minutes of background story cut out and some creative editing. If you insist on getting Reflections as well, then just go for the Samurai X box set and get all three for about the same price as what Trust and Betrayl will cost you individually. Personally I didn't like Reflections at all. I have the box set, I've watched Trust and Betrayl a zillion times, but Reflections only once. The motion picture was ok, but like Reflections I bought it, watched it once, and don't really feel the need to see it again.

Oh and whatever you do get. I reccommend watching it in Japanese with english subtitles, the voice acting is much better that way.

Let me know what you think of it!

You know, pmpknface, I deliberately deleted those emails when they landed in my inbox. We're trying to be good here. :)

ADV is constantly running these sales. Be patient and it'll come around again. In the future, I'll post the link when I get it in my email. Share the misery and all that.

I can't help it! I get this type of good info and I feel compelled to share with my friends! :p I was so happy w/ my latest purchases (what I've watched so far) that I like others to be happy too!

De Carabas is right tho, these sales seem to go on fairly frequently, so don't sweat it. It might be good to at least just SEE what's there tho! ;)

Not much there to excite me this time around, thankfully.

That, and I recently picked up a three pack of THE LAST EXILE (Volumes 1 - 3), so I'm fulfilled my anime purchase quote for the year already at this point. Now I just need to WATCH the stuff.

Thanks De Carabas, I'll have to remember and check this board more often when I am supposed to be working, hehe

Actually, I havent bought any anime in almost a month, though sadly I'm slowly becoming addicted to yet another long-running manga/anime series with lots of pricey volumes out there that is much better in subtitled Japanese than it is in english and I am trying to prevent myself from spending ALL of my SDCC money on it before I even hit SDCC.

Edit: Wow! those really ARE good prices! Unfortunetly everything I would be willing to buy sight unseen on that list I already own. Ah well, maybe next sale.

One of their other recent sales was for manga too. I'll try to remember to post if they have one of those too...

Well I started off about a year ago with Rurouni Kenshin as far as combo anime/manga went, sidestepped into Peacemaker Kurogane, and then, despite ALL my attempts to resist because the edited, dubbed version they show on TV is unwatchable found myself falling in love with....

*sigh*

<cough>Inuyasha</cough>

I'm hopeless, I know.

No, no coughing, sister! Stand up!

I'm a huge Inuyasha fan. I agree that the subbed imported are substantially better, but still. Inuyasha is a GREAT series. :D

Bronte,

Thanks :)

Truth be told, I like the manga better than what I have seen of the anime so far, but even still, I'm pretty much still an Inuyasha newbie.

The site I got it from was: www.rightstuf.com (http://www.rightstuf.com/catalog/browse/link/t=toc,c=right-stuf,a=real-cool-anime)

When the page opens click on "The Right Stuf" logo in the upper left hand corner. Then on the next page click on the "Bountiful Items" link on the far right just under the search bar.

You can pick out 10 or 25 from this list, but only those exact number and don't include anything else from other parts of the store or it'll mess you up. Here are the promotion codes you'll need when you check out:

10 Item Coupon Code: BOUNTY10
25 Item Coupon Code: BOUNTY25
Expires: 10/1/06 at 11:59 P.M. CST

You have the option of free shipping via regular media mail.

Just noticed that they posted this:

"Hang ten! Here's an offer that really soared out of the blue! Enjoy big savings on Bandai titles! Whether you're looking for classics like Cowboy Bebop or upcoming pre-orders like My-Hime, you'll be riding on a wave of savings!

From now until October 8th, 2006 - get at least 40% OFF Retail price on all Bandai DVDs and 33% OFF on all CDs and Graphic Novels! *Certain restrictions apply, see bottom of the Right Stuf main page for details.

How? Just use the following reusable coupon code when you check out through our online store:

Coupon Code: skysurf
Expires: 10/08/06 at 11:59 P.M. CST"

You can use the same instructions I gave earlier about getting to just those sale items, but instead of clicking on the Bountiful Items link click on the "Sky-Surf Items" on the right side. That should be just under the Bountiful Items link.
