I always took it as Diana's upbringing(amazonian princess) or heritage to be respectful to Clark. She has called him Clark quite a bit as well.

Pretty much. The only beings she'd ever heard of having anywhere near Clark's powers, before leaving Themiscyra (that even close to the spelling?), were the Olympian gods, so it makes sense that she'd treat him with respect and deference even knowing he's just a mortal being like her.

Also the name is somthing they share alone together. No one has used that name but her. It seems to me that makes it special to her or to them both. It's a simple reflection of their frienship and the strong feelings they have for one another!

Not sure about that. Wouldn't "Clark" reflect that more, as it shows how close he is to her to trust her with that secret?

What's more secret tho ...his Earth-given name or his real name given by his biological parents ? Bats calls him Clark , Diana calls him call since he's both . Kal I feel is more an endearment type thing .... and does show the affection Diana feels for Supes .

I'm not a huge Supes fan so I'm not sure, but why keep Kal-el secret? It's not like it makes much difference. Everyone knows he's an alien.

well some people that superman is his only identity by the fact that he doesnt cover his face, but if people found out about his name they may start wondering if there was something else.

Huh? "I am a superhero and have a real name that isn't Superman" Yep, makes me wonder what else he's hiding...

i think its a sort of respect thing, you might say if that was the case, she'd call him clark, true but i dont think its a respect for clark the person(not saying she doesnt respect him as a person cuz she does) but, she respects his power also, before leaving the island she was taught for the most part men were evil and the only men she knew stronger than an amazon were gods, she meets supes who is much stronger than her, i think she calls him Kal out of respect for his power and the way he uses it
