what i dig about this book:

i made many new, talented friends helping with the production of this book. it helped inspire me to get my ass to work on my own project.
i never really thought to care about westerns before this book, and now i seriously consider westerns when i see them.
i dig the lineart. jim's style of spotting blacks and using solid, uniform lines that work so well with chad's colours is cool (even if it made me realize how i wish more people did it more often).
i love that someone had the balls to spend thousands and thousands of dollars of his own money to make his own book... and while it didn't do as well as anyone wanted, he isn't letting it keep him down.
i love a hard as nails ranger that leaves lilac on a dead body so it doesn smell so much like death.
i like conspiracy stuff and army bases.
i love that jim used a pen name for the art in the first issue, and i didn't know until after we were all drinking at WW:chicago last year...
i love crazy machines like EMMA: Engine-powered Mobile Munitions Artillery.
i love that aliens can wipe out towns of humans... and leave the animals alive.
