Just had a chance to read this one while I was in the hospital, luckily I had ordered it from my library right before I was admitted. I wasn' t quite sure what to expect. It was certainly surprising the extent to which it was an autobiographical narrative (I honestly don't know whether they are authentic memories, or "new" ones, i.e. a fictional author's autobiography). Good read though. Paradoxically in some ways, it made me yearn a little for the Superman of old, the image of the strong flashy savior in blue and red, even though I've always found him rather dull. It was a good prologue before I delved into Lee's run I had been saving up to read.

Any thoughts from fans (or not) who've read Seagle's It's a Bird ?

I thought it was excellent. I really liked the different ways Seagle the character, and found the semi-autobio material gripping as well. I'm kind of interested in reading his work with the character now, even if it's nothing like this book, from what I've read.

Great book. I'd give it an A, but not an A+, simply because I didn't completely connect with it, but I think everyone should read it.

I'm about 10 pages from the end It's pretty good so far. Does anyone know how much of it was autobiographical and how much was semi?

You ordered it from your library? Kinda funny actually. Imagine getting a job to help out there and the benefits are youget to read comics...so you know what to recommend.
