I don't think there have been any threads about favorite X-men quotes...I know there was a worst quote thread. So, I'd like to know your favorite X-Men comics quotes.

Storm: I have, for the most part, done as you requested. Yet rather than destroy the prototype, I felt the humans should be allowed to defend themselves... to the benefit of the fruit of their labors.

Xavier: I'm uncomfortable with the thought of the governments of the world believing they can take on Magneto.. But I trust your judgement.

Storm: Do you, Charles? I wish I could believe that were so. When you first asked me to leave my home-- my life I had forged in Africa-- I did so because you had me convinced of my greater responsibilities to the world in which I lived. Whether I did so on my own resolve-- or because I had little choice denying any request from the most powerful mind on the planet-- is a question to which I may never know the answer. All I can say for certain- at this very moment in my life-- is that I refuse to allow you, or anyone, to drag me through the mud... to shatter my belief that the X-Men are a force for Good, ultimately for change. I will not allow the world to destroy us-- and more importantly for what we stand for. I will fight for you. Someday, I might dies for you. But do not ever ask me again to steal for you, Professor Xavier. I am an X-Man. And we have to be better than that.

Don't know. Someone posted a scan of it on a thread. Here's a link. (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=49047&page=1&pp=15&highlight=deadpool+kitty) And now that I see it I see that I got the quote wrong. Oh well, close enough.

Phoenix: "Against an army Wolverine, you might have hope for survival. Against me, you have none! Here me X-Men! No longer am I the woman you knew! I am fire! And life incarnate! Now & forever...I AM PHOENIX!" Uncanny X-Men #134 as Jean Grey, Phoenix, transforms into Dark Phoenix before the X-Men's horrified eyes. I love the look on Ororo & Logan's faces.

UXM #153, Kitty's Fairy Tale, Fiend with No Name:
"I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do is guzzle beer--RAISE HAVOC!"

UXM #168. Kitty is duking it out with three Sidri hunters, while Professor X looks on telepathically:
Prof. X: Kitty, these creatures are vulnerable to intense heat.
Kitty: Lockheed's already figured that out, sir.
Prof. X: Who's Lockheed?
Kitty: My dragon.
Prof. X: Your WHAT?
Kitty: I'll explain later.

More recent lines;
Kitty: Sorry about the dramatic entrance. Did I miss the sorting hat?
Hank: Only Scott's scintilating opening speech.
Scott: Even I was bored.
--AXM #1

Ord: Too scared for strategems, X-Men? Then maybe it's time we finished this.
Logan: Okay. Yeah. Why don't we do that?
Ord: What are you all looking...Oh no. Is that dragon thing behind me?
--AXM #5(just before Colossus put the beat-down on Ord)

Peter: No. He does not get away.
Logan: You feeling rested?
Peter: I am strong.
Logan: In that case, Petey boy, I have just two words for you.

I posted this in the brilliant new Marrow thread, but I suppose it works here, too.

Marrow once said, in regards to the X-men, "Sometimes it amazes me how a group can have so many eyes and not see."

I think it is very profound.
