Anyone now what that cryptic page in the last chapter of From Hell is all about?

Is it that Jack (Gull) got the wrong person and Kelly got away?

Yes. Gull killed someone else-- the other woman who was sharing her apartment, I think-- and Marie escaped. She's the mysterious woman in the final chapter. I believe she was also the woman named Emma who Abberline almost had an affair with.

I remember reading an interview in which Alan explained all this, but after a quick Google search I couldn't find the interview. Maybe you'll have better luck.
