I would talk about this issue, but sadly I have no drugs to help me understand just what the heck was going on.

Can someone please explain to me so I can reread and appreciate. I know I am dumb and should have figured this out, but please help.

I believe Sykes' parents have deliberately devolved him in order to give him some power that they relate to the voice of God.

I see. I think. And the...very unnerving molestationi scene? Does that mean it happened to Punchy in his younger years?

And how come the time distorting person was not affected.

This whole issue was one big mess to me. But in a good way, like I want to figure out a puzzle.

I believe it was Sykes who was molested. It looked like his grandfather moreso than Punchy's, and everyone else was in one of Sykes' memories.

Mr. Dashell asked Sykes if he was in the here and now, which I believe means his powers have something to do with time distortion. Therefore Kefong's time-related abilities shielded him.

Oh, and I do believe that something Sykes did caused his father to kill his mother and himself.

And Sykes believes he has evil inside. The ape that killed his grandfather is the primal side of his devolution.

For added meaning, try and decipher the subscript on the scene where reality shatters.

I think I am starting to understand. They were all in Sykes reality. Very wierd. And if true very sad for Sykes too. :(

Looked more like the "uncle" was the one who killed Sykes' parents. He's holding a smoking gun in one panel and shooting the father in another one.

First explanation would be that he was crazy considering his dialogue about voices, but it's more probable that it was Sykes somehow projecting thoughts/images into his brain that caused him to do it. Possible also that this was the reason for the abuse - Sykes' desire to punish himself.

Bicameral = two chambered. Referring to the brain would be the right and left hemispheres of it, I'd assume. Reference to bridge makes me think that Sykes' brain hemispheres were fused together. I think this makes his brain loop back on itself "some say we're simply talking to ourselves" plus the stat in a previous issue about the number of thoughts Sykes has.

The sequence where Kefong switches the failsafe back on and everything is frozen but flaming reminds me of the images the children were chalking onto the street. I believe this is how Sykes perceives the world, and that he was projecting images into the minds of the children.

Well, the fact is that somehow this is all tied to the "GOD VOX"=The Voice of God.

Okay, I tried to read it, but cannot.

Can someone tell me what the broken words at bottom of the page say? Thanks.
