Batgirl didn't have much of a role. She spoke with Supergirl about being afraid of what was happening and not being able to do anything. She later gave the eulogy at the memorial service for Supergirl. That was about it.

They buried Supergirl not long after she died...at the end of the very same issue in which she was killed (CRISIS # 7). History was not rewritten until after CRISIS # 10 and was not rewritten for the superheroes until well after CRISIS was over.

Only until CRISIS # 12...and maybe in an LSH comic just immediately thereafter. The Byrne Superman revamp didn't happen until a few months after CRISIS ended, but there was no further mention of the Pre-CRISIS Supergirl after CRISIS (except in said LSH comic and the very final two issues of ACTION COMICS and SUPERMAN prior to the Byrne revamp; that was an "imaginary story", or what they called ELSEWORLDS before there was ELSEWORLDS, by Alan Moore entitled "Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow" that chronicled the hypothetical final days of the Silver Age, Pre-CRISIS, Earth-1 Superman).
