I remember something like, Jean Paul letting Abbitoir die during the Knightfall Series.
He didnt kill the guy he just didnt save him from a fall or something like that.

Jean Paul is more of a nutter than a bastard. He's all brainwashed.

Jean Paul let abbatoir die instead of saving him and finding out the location of one of his victims who may have still been alive. This while he was totaly lost in the system and his Azbats role so punishing the guilty was far more important to him than saving the innocent.

Don't forget the man made his peace. The guy became a good guy in the end before he died. (but then again he might be alive)

is there a chance that Jean Paul could be Hush? Did Jean Paul die at one point?

He kind of died at the end of his solo series but they never found the body so he wouldnt even need the Jason lazarus pit explanation to come back. It's possible he could be hush to have two ex batkids running round gotham swearing eternal vengance on Batman seems more than a little pointless.
and yes after the whole azbats thing Jean paul did find peace and became a hero....then he went a bit mad again but that was ok because he came back from that as well and did the hero thing again...then he went a bit more mad another time...

The Knightfall/quest/end, and subsequent Azrael series(after about issue 20) were a waste of an interesting character. A character that could have been used X-files/Kolchak style to tell stories about conspiracies theories around the world. What's worse, they just missed a ripe market with the DaVinci Code crowd.
To the topic at hand.
Az-Bats was mid-delusion when Abbatoir took his swan dive. He was arguing with a spectral vision os St. Dumas. Robin just assumed that he did so out of malice. He also failed to rescue Abbatoir's victim because of this.

If you read gotham knights you would know that tommy elliot was hush all along and that he was not killed by the riddler. though he did give riddler a good beat down in the ghotham knigts serious

actually, Gotham Knights revealed that Hush WASN'T Tommy Elliot. We saw this when Hush kidnapped Alfred and threw him into a room w/ Tommy.

Didn't they decide he had a tumor that was killing him at one point?

I thought it was something to do with his own body chemistry killing thanks to the alterations that the Order made to him. Though to be honnest I'd kind of stoped paying much attention by that point.
