Has been a great deal of speculation, mostly my own. Some thought out, but most with tounge firm in cheek. But i was remembering my greek mythology today and I remembered that Zues suduced Hercles mother by taking on the apearence of her husband!

If the gods to play with their favorite toys [mortals ] once again and do the same to Wonder woman and superman, only this time reverse the procedure and make Diana in the image of Lois?

Diana could be a unwilling pawn in this seduction or even more shocking willing. This would be sure to put a strain on their friendship and the whole of the DCU!

i think that would break up superman and lois lane, wonder woman would just be mighty happy afterwards(and probably would be sore for a few days)

Nah, that would probably involve brainwashing WWīs head and thatīs WAY too complimacated.

If they wanna put a strain in their relationship, just make WW kill the Kents/Supes destroy Themyscira .by accident.

i dont see how superman would be dumb enough to destroy themyscira..unless this is dick superman, the best bet is WW killing kents or lois, but if this happened i see superman actually killing ww or coming close to it, if she did that i dont think he'd ever forgive her

I think that Diana will kill someone (Ruin, perhaps?) in front of Superman.

Ten bucks says that Ruin is Pete Ross (brainwashed?) and Ruin does something that pushes Diana over the edge and at the same time Clark learns who Ruin is and wants to talk him down and JUST when he gets there he see WW kill Ruin for being the monster he is, at the same time, unknowingly killing Clark's childhood pal.

Just a theory is all, so I didn't put spoilers around it.

one reason was a few years back superman saved pete from a water sprite, who after warned superman pete was going to do a terrible thing!

I think Diana may kill him, but to save either lois, or clark!

If Diana does kill Ruin and Ruin does turn out to be Pete Ross, the friendship
between Clark and Diana will be dissolved - one way or another. Clark will
never see her the same way again.

I think that Diana will kill someone (Ruin, perhaps?) in front of Superman.Yeah, I'm leaning in that direction too. But I don't think it'll be Ruin. After reading DC COUNTDOWN, I think she's going to kill Max Lord. Diana was the only superhero who seemed fond of Ted in that issue, and I bet she's going to be hunting his murderer with a vengeance.

And as the goddess of truth, isn't she resistant to telepathy? There goes Max's major weapon.

SuperManny...

It was an issue of MAN OF STEEL by Mark Schultz back in February 2000. I remember the cover had a gloomy Superman looking down at Lana from his "Treehouse of Solitude". All of the stories that month in the superbooks were unrelated visits set in Smallville.

Don't know if that prediction is still in effect? Now i havew a guestion, when kingdom come came out didn't dc promote it as the future of the dcuniverse? This was before hypertime mess!

Given S/B#18 isn't the latter already true? As far as Clark's concerned he has already killed her once, no?

Oh, he killed her once alright. In an alternate timeline. Someone has a point
that she may go after Max Lord instead of Ruin for killing Blue Beetle.

But when your memory of the event is as vivid as you doing it yourself, is there really that much of a distinction between having done it and not?

Actually it was promoted as an Elseworlds, but a lot of the writers liked it so much too that they adapted their stories based on the outcomes revealed in Elseworlds (ex. Cyborg's new gold Omegadrome body).

Thanks PatrickG, by the way, for the issue call-out. I loved Schultz's series so I'm surprised that I dont' remember the story at all. Maybe a quick stop at the comic book store will fix that ;)

*misses Man of Steel* :o
