the Savage Dragon?
Here is a book thatīs been running for 120+
issues all done by the same guy! Itīs fun,
entertaining and the plots are unpredictable.
It offers amazing fights, unique characters
and some of the visually strongest heroes and
villians in comics. No decompressed storytelling,
easy to find backissues, loads of TPB and fans
that are more than willing to get you up to
speed
So why not give it (another) try?

I admit it, I am not reading Savage Dragon. Why? Well, I just haven't gotten around to it. Only during the last few months have I actually started to take Image books seriously. Over the years I was stuck in the same mindframe many others had: Image was just a joke. But now that I have been exposed to books like Invincible, Noble Causes, Powers, and Small Gods, I see it differently.
I have been going around and sampling the Image TPB's and I haven't gotten to Savage Dragon yet. I hope to buy a TPB this summer, but it all depends on how much cash I'll have by then. I loved Erik Larsen's old work on Spider-Man, so it's not like I'm unfamiliar or have a bias against him. I just haven't gotten to him yet.
No offense, Erik; if you're reading.

Savage Dragon is my MUST read book right now. Its the only book I have GOT to get right now whenever it comes out!
Sure there are other books that I like alot and WANT when they come out...but Savage Dragon is a book I MUST get and can't miss an issue of.
Of course, I've missed many issues of it already (I started collecting in the 100s, around 113 I believe, though I do have some back issues before that now).
I'm not sure if I'll ever be completly caught up on the title (there are so many issues), but I do hope that I'll be able to read more of the SD back issues (especially the early ones).
Savage Dragon, imo, is a great book. Its my favorite comic right now!
I highly recommand it to anyone who likes fun comics. Cause what Savage Dragon is. Its fun!

" Lots of action, continuing plotlines, Jack Kirby-like visuals (of late), lots of action (did I mention that?), a cool main character, plenty of other cool characters, and cool backup features to boot! Great comic! "

Predator: if you like Invincible Iīm pretty sure
youīll like Savage Dragon as well. I know that
itīs seems hard to catch up on the story with
100+ backissues but it really isnīt. Here is a
link to a fansite that offers a good introduction

And then there is the Savage Dragon Companion:
64 pages full of information on the Dragons world.
This will get you up to speed

I stopped reading it a while ago (after all 100+ issues, including the original mini-series) when Mr. Larsen decided he needed to make some political statements with the book. I certainly don't begrudge anyone their political views, in fact I encourage it, but don't make it part of my entertainment unless you're willing to pay the financial price (i.e. one less loyal reader)

Well, youīve read it for 10+ years. Thatīs a start
;)
Seriously, I got the impression that most people stopped
reading after Dragon was transferred to the savage world
in issue #75.
And i guess many dropped the book even before that because
it wasnīt gritty enough anymore. Well, that might change soon!
The book is going to change direction once more. Dragon is
losing his powers, Glum finally becomes a true villian and the
election storyline is being concluded.

I used to read Savage Dragon until I stopped collecting for awhile. I have added to my pull list again and I will be buying as many of the back issue's as I can find.
