What are the most inane, nonsensical, overblown, wordy catchphrases or battle cries ever uttered by any character? For example, any move/technique/style that Kenshin yells out which takes approxamately 10 minutes longer to say than the actual move itself.

To be fair his only really long-winded tech is the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. Unfortunately, it's also his ultimate tech so it get's used alot and during the anime fight with Shishio they kept saying it's name so often I almost hurled a brick through my TV (and I LOVE Rurouni Kenshin).

well heck, the fights only last about five minutes per episode anyways, takes work to stretch them out.
The rest of the episode consists with Serena and company interacting with the hapless bystander of the day and fighting with one another, so anything they can do to stretch out the monster battles is a good thing.

Later on he fights an opponent who also knows the technique. So you get phrases like(I'm not quoting, but stuff along these lines) :
"Gasp! The amakakeru ryu no hirameki was blocked by another amakakeru ryu no hirameki!"

Digimon X Evolution was released in January 2005. It was a made for TV movie that tells its own story and is unconnected to season 4 or any of the other ones.

Well, to be fair, that wasn't Mojo who actually said it but rather Bubbles. Then again, it was so drawn-out and irritating that it actually made MOJO JOJO of all people say "Oh, SHUT UP!"

Heck, there were times when he'd get stomped several times just trying to finish.
I remember one where someone smacked him, he'd get a little further, another would stomp on him, he'd go a little further...
It got to the point where they actually let him finish, because they were impressed he was still talking.

I've mentioned this scene from DC1M before, but Batman 1 Million says this as he simultaneously kicks and mindzaps current Bats:
"You see you have to go and this is a martial arts move developed by a telepathic octopus species inhabiting the infoceans of Durla; the attack's telepathic as well as physical, and by the time you realize this sentence seems way too long and that Huntress was right..."
...and now Bats hits a pillar behind him...
"...it'll all be over."
Batman is now unconscious on the floor.

As unbelievably funny as this was, to be fair to Jounouchi, he and the others rarely figure out Yugi's strategy for themselves until after he's made his move. However, in the time he wastes explaining it, his opponent could concieveably think up a counter with a quick play magic card he might have in hand.
If I was a baddie on that show, I'd just bunch of cards that are strong but obscure and I wouldn't explain what a single one of my cards does. If he don't know, that's his 'effing problem. At that point, I slam "Countdown" (a real life card that, IIRC, wins you the game if you can keep it on the field for 12 turns) on the board and stall his ass for the twelve turns needed to win the game (they are notoriously lacking in anti-trap/anti-magic cards on that show).

When I first started watching Naruto in Japanese there was some dude with a huge sword(Cloud-like size) and he was about to do an ultra cool sexy badass finish move of doom with topping. He jumps back and stands on the water like he's just that awesome and starts saying words in japanese that are the different animals they use to represent seals(hand signs). So he says like 20-40 of them and it takes like a minute or two. Rat, monkey, ram, horse, monkey, chicken, fish, donkey, girbil, mouse, chimp, llama, bear, emu, goat, kitten, duck, snake, raccoon, bird, weasel. They aren't those animals I mentioned, but it's even longer than that list. Quite a bit longer. And the main characters are just standing there like.....whoa....I know exactly what animals he means...wow. They could have walked to McDonalds and ordered something instead of waiting on him to finish his chanting.

I don't know if this applies to the show's game, but in real life, you can ASK your opponent to show their card's text to you. Such a request must be followed.
