Does anybody know much about this new franchise?

I'm not sure what Marvel has planed for the property now, if anything. But the original launch was a 4 issue mini-series scripted and drawn by this guy Jeevan J. Kang, who is quite a talented artist.

The series sought to make an amalgam of Spider-Man mythology with traditional Indian or Hindi mythology. Not knowing too much about either Indian culture or Hindi religion, I can't really say how well the marriage went, but it was pretty cool, if not somewhat quirky, to read. I don't think the series sold too well, unfortunately, at least not in the States. It was released in India at around the same time, and I'm not sure how the title was received there.

Oh, I forgot to mention earlier that the series closed with a teaser that was designed to hint at an upcomig Indian version of Venom. So I'm pretty sure that Kang, at least, has the desire to do more with the property.

So it's definately finished for now then? I wasn't sure, with the teaser at the end, if it had been extended.

Artemis, might be able to get scans for ya this week.

Huh?

I don't know if it has been extended or not, but I can't say that I care. I thought it was awful. I cannot wait for "Hulk: Guam."

I liked every thing about this book except for the very cobbled together story which we have all heard before. I would prolly continue reading it if they continue it. The first three issues were pretty slow but issue #4 was insane! It was possibly one of the best books I've ever read, bar none. Every one should at least read issue #4.

oh, and the art is absolutely incredible! buy it just for the art at least.
