Who else picked up this title? I'm one of those people who's willing to give anything with the Ultimates in it a shot. Here are some random thoughts:
One of the first things to catch my eye was the Hustler magazine type pose Susan Storm was rendered in. What's up with that?
I don't have the first clue about Mahr Vel, but he looked great, so my curiosity is definitely piqued.
The issue was written very well and looked great, so I'm sure I'll be around for the entire arc.

Well i'm picking up the title , but given the slow pace and all the delays in publication , i decided awhile ago to read that mini and the following one only once done :D .
Other than that yes the new Captain MArvel looks awesome !!

Good book, but I don't really see the connection to 'Ultimate Nightmare' yet. Plus reading nearly the whole issue months before the issue finally came out sorta hurt my opinion of the book. It's also really lacking in dialogue, like this issue was all padding to make it four issues instead of thre.

They were discussing different ways of space travel through the universe. I think they want to try to get to galactus and stop it before he gets there. There is the connection.
Alot of Ellis's comics include little dialogue but lots of great pictures. I'm not complaining too much. Beautiful looking book and a couple of great space ideas, great writer to follow for anyone who is into scifi.

I don't think its to try and get to galactus before he reaches earth. Mahr Vehl said the ship made if possible for humans to leave earth if it was necessary. I think it's to escape the planet if they can't stop galactus.

I think it was implied that the bad guys wanted to keep humanity from leaving Earth before Ultimate Galactus destroyed it.
