I posted several pictures of my Hellboy bust in Sculpey thread. But as I'd like to show some other pictures and sculpts, I thought - maybe it's better to start my own art thread..

At first - here is mu Hellboy. It's not finished, but here are a couple of better pictures:

I'm still working on it, so it will change slightly. And of course there will be a base...

And here is one older Werewolf picture for all the pamcake lovers...

...and another - made in Freehand. Line art was drawn on paper, then scanned and vectorized. The final artwork is full vector.

And now: Hellboy sketch I'd like to call
"Once Upon A Time In Hell"

http://img220.exs.cx/img220/79/hellboywildwestlineart6007ez.jpg

It's inspired from the previous sketch, Leone movies and my own "Bang! Bang!" picture. I like to draw with blue pencils, this one is drawn with two different 0.6 mm Pentel leads. I finished it today morning, scanned it and will try add some colors with my Wacom. As it looks quite good without the color, I thought I will post the line art too.

By the way - here is bigger version of it -
200 dpi A4 version (http://img220.exs.cx/img220/6286/hellboywildwestlineart200dpi3v.jpg) for anyone to colorize!

The original is 400 dpi, that's the one I will work on. The line art won't stay blue, I'm just like to draw with blue. I will not make it pure black, it will be sort of dark brown. Usually I make a new Alpha channel and use it to fine tune the lines, remove the defects I don't like etc. Then I copy the final line art to a new layer where I will choose the color and transparency for it.

Anyway, if there is someone who likes to try to colorize my lines - you're welcome to do so! I'd love to see someone else tweak my pictures... :) If someone wants to get 400 dpi version of the line art to add to final colors I think I can send it. Feel free to move around/remove the lines (I will do so) or whatever. I hope I can show my version in a couple of days!

Great stuff Ivar, love the vector artwork. Nice to see I'm not the only one in the land that uses Freehand (for work).
Do you find it easy to use?
Good sketches, like the cowboy HB
