just wondering if anybody knew anything about his latest comic "Little Star"?
Watson's old web-site doesn't really exist anymore... so, I was curious. he's one of my favorite artist-writers (especially if it's his creator-owned original work).
thanks in advance.

the only thing i can tell you about little star was that it was good. however, at the end of the comic i wasnt sure if there was going to be subsequent issues or if that was the end of the story and it was just a one shot type deal.. i dont really know.

I really enjoyed the first issue. It's very simple - essentially about a father's relationship with his young daughter - but very good. Very cute, sweet and funny, and easy to relate to; even if you don't have kids (like me), it's easy to understand the feeling of not having any idea what to do with them.

It's a bi-monthly miniseries; I think it's six issues.

I still don't have issue one of "Little Star", but I'm looking forward to it. Anyone else read it?
Yeah, its pretty good. not as active as Love Fights, but definitely a good read.

Issue two is not only lacking action, its boring as paint drying.
I don't know where this story is going, other than slow day in the life of a dad type of thing. There is not much mystery to it... and I don't mean like big clues solve a case kind of mystery, I mean anything I'm even wondering about kind of mystery. What is that called? Holding my interest?
So, what the heck is going on here?
Who is the market audience for this book? Is it just for dads?
Not sure what to say, I really enjoyed Watson's other stuff.

the appeal of watson's stuff to me is how mundane the situations are typically (love fights being the exception of course). i dont really know who the target audience is, but i love the book.
by the by- my comic book wet dream...back a few years ago in an issue of wizard they had a sort of "rising indie talent" article, where they talked to and overviewed watson, mahfood, millionarie and one or two others. they asked each what their dream project was and watson said he would like to do a story abou barbara gordon- not batgirl or oracle, just babs. i would kill for this. barbara gordon is one of my favorite characters and watson in my top 3 artist/writers.
