If west coast avengers was relaunched and revamped who would be on your team, lets say your limited to 8 members, just to compare to match the new avengers.
T'challa (leader)
Warbird
Nova
Quasar
Wonderman
Justice
Firestar
Speedball

Pym (sometimes ant, sometimes giant)
Warbird
Wonderman
Justice
Firestar
Julia Carpenter (she needs a new nick though, can't call her spiderwoman II)
Vision (when he is inevitably rebuilt)
Photon
I like the idea of T'challa, but his obligations to Wakanda keep him off of my team.

Moon Knight
The Shroud

When that series was out ... it was my favorite book. It had such a fun feel. I'm gonna go with:
1. Hawkeye (someone bring him back!)
2. Mockingbird (ok.. this is like a "dream team")
3. Wonder Man
4. Darkhawk
5. Living Lightning
6. Tigra
7. Hank Pym as Giant Man
8. Wasp
Reserver Members?
9. Firebird
10. Spider-Woman
Assuming Clint is not available...
Justice (Leader, let's remember, this is the guy who in another time line lead the Guardians of the Galaxy)
Firestar
Photon (Just because this is a character itching for development)
Nova or Wonderman (For the 'Strongguy' position)
Beast (A former Avenger, and darn it, they need at least one scientist)
Stingray (Aquatic character would work with the Pacific Coast so close)
The "new" Hawkeye
The "new" Mockingbird
(If I can't bring Clint back, these last two would allow me to create new characters for my own use. They'd be easy enough to rename or retire if the originals returned.)

1.Hank Pym: Resident scientist, and co-chairman.
2.Wasp: co-chairman.
3.Wonderman: can't have WCA without their Hollywood star.
4.Giant Man: brand new young hero who is using Hank's Pym Particles to grow into a giant of a man.
5.Vision: of course, Hank has to rebulid him for the team.
6.Tigra: another former WCA babe.
7.U.S. Agent: Invaders is canceled, so the former WCA a-hole leader will return to the book.
8.Blazing Skull: follows U.S. Agent to the WCA team.
Huzzah!

Luckily i could use basically the same lineup i had for the if you wrote the avengers as i used none, save iron man on reserve
"Ultimately i wouldnt make them like the JLA because not only is that pathetic it smacks of unoriginality.
Firstly i would put Wasp in. Good avenger, and unlike captain america and wolverine she doesnt have her own book, as such you broaden your audience by including different flavors and what not.
Second Dr. Pym....probably under the Goliath mask simply because i like the giant stuff, but hate the name Giant man.
These two to me are the real core of the avengers, when they arent around in some fashion it doesnt feel like avengers to me.
Thirdly i would put in Ms. Marvel, may not use that name though. She's the heavy and a consistantly good character
Fourthly Dr. Strange. He needs to be actually used as a character and not a plot device to up the signifigance of some event.
Fifthly Taskmaster. Great character, needs a home. And as captain america isnt going to be around, he gets to be the guy holding the shield (or proto shield) in the team photos.
Sixthly Longshot. Also a great character, also in need of a home.
Seventhly Mr. Immortal. Pure hilarious.
Eightly Tigra. Dont know much about her. But at the very least she is visually interesting
Using some criminally underused characters and overall i think a very solid team. Plus it would be a very fun read, especially when beast comes to visit"

I'd go with any lineup as long as it included Wonderman and U.S. Agent.

I would just like to point out that only TWO of you guys have spelled "Wonder Man" the correct way. Its not "Wonderman", there is a space, wouldnt you feel silly writing "Spider Man" or "Spiderman", well, its the same thing.
Now, on to my team. As others have mentioned, Black Panter is awesome, but being King of Wakanda sort of requires him to have a small role, so I rather not use him. As for Thor, well, I know he will come back but who knows in what form, so he is off my teams for now.
Hawkeye
Warbird

Wonder Man

Ms. Marvel II (a normal looking Sharon Ventura)
Tigra
Oh please, not Sharon Ventura. But the rest is OK. Even if the place of angel is with excalibur, I loved him in the 70's champions, so why not?

Given Sharon's pseudo-celebrity status as a former Thunder Rider and near-wrestler, I think that she might embody the "Hollywood Aspect" of the West Coast alongside Wonder Man. Plus, given her issues with men, might also play interestingly off a majority-male team.

I would love a WCA, but with a more diverse cast,powers-wise
Moondragon-mental powerhouse
Tigra-resident super agile,flexible,fast street-level character
Photon-energy based powerhouse
Black Knight-Just because he looks so cool on his steed and because his mystical connections and backstories have potential...
Sharon Ventura-Give her a power upgrade, a new cool moniker and make her the muscle of the team, since She-hulk, my first option is living in NY
Quicksilver-Speedster!
Hawkeye-Come on, he is the heart and sould of WCA!

Wow.. That list could only be more random if Slapstick and Lunatik were added into the mix. Well played!

They are already spoken for, most likely, in some future issue of GLA. ;)
Truthfully, I was trying to go more for a "cosmic" theme (Beta Ray Bill, Nova, Quasar, Capt. Marvel, Lyja) since this is California we're talking about here! LOL! My natural penchant for techno/espionage thrillers did come out, though, with Black Widow (who's about as comfortable in a space tale as a cat in the vet's office). Nita would be good for jaunts in and around the Pacific (Dr. Demonicus, anyone?) and I think some hot female muscle would be most welcome as well (Thundra and Titania, a couple of "bad girls" who could be dusted off and used a bit better than their last appearances).
