Hey guys, it's me again, back after a long excursion at Strongwell. Good to be back to the forum, with my second family. :p I've been reading alot of the BPRD back issues as of late, and can't help but wonder why it is that no one ever mentions maybe going and looking for the big red monkey. lol. I would think that Abe especially would be very concerned for him. Kate as well. I know they have mentioned him a few times, but never really tried to do anything about it. Anybody else wondering about this? Look at me, I talk about it as if they are real people. To me I suppose they are. :D

Unless he gave them some indication he was in trouble, (which he couldn't do anyway since there's no cell phone coverage where he is) I don't really see why they would. Liz takes off all the time and always comes back. From what Manning said when Diamo arrived, they probably expect him to just wander back eventually as well.

He left on his own to work out some personal issues. You don't chase someone down when then want some time to theirselves.

It's more basic than that. Hellboy quit in no uncertain terms. So the others miss him and might try to contact him... if they weren't being distracted by potentially world-ending events.

It's also been set up in HOLLOW EARTH that, while the organization keeps track of the whereabouts of paranormal entities like Liz and Hellboy, they don't share that information with their agents. Plus, since falling asleep at Mohlomi's camp, it's questionable whether Hellboy is on our plane of existence, for want of a better term.

Although it's not spelled out in the comics, Mike has said his impression of Hellboy's stay at the BPRD is that the organization may send him somewhere but he might not take the return to the office. He'd wander the vicinity, checking out weird stuff and checking in occasionally. So the team is used to him wandering.

But, like I said, he quit.
