Hey folks, I just checked with my Shop and they were not ordering the new book coming out. I just placed mine on order and requested it. If you have not checked with your shop make sure they get it. :) This book needs all the help it can get.

This seems to be the year for the return of FIRST comics. Originally we were going to get the reprints of American Flagg (this book is so late, atleast 5 months) and then we got reprints of Grimjack and a new Mini series from Truman and Ostrandler. Now the Jon Sable release, Thank God there is a Mike Gold. Now what would make me feel great would be Rocketeer HB Trade with the entire story.
I will also have to chime in on the TPB of Grimjack vol 1. The eight page extra just brought a smile to my face. I really enjoyed how they put it together, old time readers will smile ear to ear from it and new time readers will also enjoy it as well.

Also, I believe Dark Horse announced that they'll be reprinting the complete run of Nexus, start to finish.
(Which is all well and good, except that I'd rather they publish the Nexus: Rot of Evil miniseries WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN FINISHED AND IS JUST LYING THERE NOT BEING PUBLISHED.)

Thank God there is a Mike Gold. This is OT, but fans of Mike Gold should be aware that he has a blog:

Another book I would love to see the reprints is the Badger. Mike Baron was a heck of a writer.

He was. Most people acknowledge that he was as important to Nexus as the Dude was, but he doesn't seem to enjoy the superstar status he deserves. No one but Mike Baron could write a sentence like "Verily, we are shoeless in Gehenna" and make it believable.

I'd actually just finished a re-read of Jon Sable up through the first few issues where Mike Grell had stopped drawing it, when the new series was announced--
ahhhh.
I shall be supporting the book, too, although I question the need for the higher than norm pricing.
ahhhhhh....
Matt
I'll get it.
Hopefully it will be a success and we'll see some of his other series like Maggie the Cat and Bar Sinister.
Did the American Flagg volumes ever see print?
The Nexus Archives is a cool idea, I suppose, but too dear for me. Now, an Essentials/Showcase type reprint, that I would get behind.

I loved the new mini-series. But I really loved the old series.
Here's hoping that Mr. Grell brings back Shaman's Tears.
