I would guess people tired of spending time with their famillies during the December holiday spent more time on CBR instead.

There also seems to be some seasonal affectation at work in those numbers too. When it's coldest, people are spending more time indoors. Now that spring is returning, people are getting out more, away from their computers. Just a thought...

The posting numbers/levels are indeed seasonal. January is almost always the busiest month.
