Well, you're always welcome to post over on the ODDBALL COMICS boards, Steve.

(Frankly, I didn't detect a scintilla of exploitiveness on your part; if anything, it's probably my unsolicited public offer that got Aaron's knickers in a twist.)

And MANY thanks to those of you who made such generous offers to help me pick up these comics. I can't express how much I appreciate your amazing kindness. All the same, I don't want anyone else to expend their time and/or money in my behalf on this matter.

Like I tried to explain, the reason I closed the thread was because of the rules about commercial solicitation. You are allowed to discuss eBay auctions on this board, but not to actually solicit people to check out your eBay auctions. There is a fine line between discussing comics and selling comics, and in my judgment, that line had been crossed. I have no problem with Scott! trying to buy your encyclopedia-- in fact, I approve of his efforts to do so-- but this isn't the proper forum for it.
