When I put together my schedule for Pipeline last week, I forgot to take Easter Sunday into account. Sundays are the days I get the bulk of the work done on this column. Since I won't have that time to think about reviews, I'm sliding this week's intended reviews to next Tuesday, and will do Pipeline Previews for June 2005 on Tuesday. That one takes slightly less thinking. ;-)

The podcast will be out Wednesday, and the SIN CITY special is still coming out on Friday.

You'll be sick of me soon enough.

We're not sick of you already? :D

I'll be tuning in of course.

I'm all done with my column for this week EXCEPT for a CD review. I worked ahead because I had no basketball this week, so I got most everything written and did the photo search yesterday.

Plus I'm already working on next week's column as well.

That, of course, is always up for debate.

Good job on getting stuff done ahead of time. I need to follow in your footsteps. I have some review outlines, but those usually prove useless about halfway through writing any full review. Each takes its own course. The trick is to get started.

Yeah, I also forgot about Purim on friday when I mapped out FC for this week. Fortunetly most of my readers are probably being dazzled by the Clone Wars microseries this weekend, so if the column is a bit late, no one will notice.

That said, I've had this one in the works since the day I finished last column, it's the last "spontaneous" (read: filler) column until all the planned ones until nearly August, or so I hope

I guess that's where my complete and utter disinterest in religion pays off for me, I don't have to worry about those holidays getting in my way.

I figured out that while I am on break from basketball I can go to the theater or pick up some DVDs to do reviews, and I just got a CD in the mail today that I'll review for next week.

Monday was a slow day so far for worthwhile material to include in the next column.

::sigh::

Our Previews is in the DCB box at Eric's old house, so we haven't had the torture/pleasure of going through it yet. But so very many things that Augie has pointed out in the column are things we are going to buy....

- Avigon: Gods & Demons - ::happy dance of joy::
- Superman/Batman HC: For Tomorrow - ::gentle fwap to Augie for Bad Joke::
- Invincible: The Ultimate Collection - Yay! Another thing we have to buy that we already have in two other formats that is All Augie's Fault. ;)
- Grendel: Red, White, & Black - About time. The issues have been out for YEARS now, it seems like.
- Sandman Mystery Theater Volume 3: The Vamp - Eric is collecting these
- Ultimate Fantastic Four Volume 1 - BOOYAW....
- X-Men: Phoenix Endsong - I so want it, but not if it Ends Badly. My love of Jean makes me very protective of any stories involving her...
- Best of Spider-Man Volume 4 - WooT!!!!
- The Ballad of Sleeping Beauty - Really enjoyed the first couple of issues, but felt like I wasn't enjoying them *enough* - in other words, like I wasn't getting enough story for the money. A TP version, however, I really am tempted by.
- The Marquis Volume 1: Danse Macabre - because we didn't just order the TP.

And that's just from Augie's highlights...

Why why why can there not be a month where there's nothing we want so we can actually NOT SPEND a vast amount?? ::sigh again:: Ah well, furniture is really overrated.

But clearly, bookshelves are not. ;)

I'll definitely be getting "Dead West" and the second "Age of Bronze" TPB (the hardcover's been out a while, but I'm cheap).

Possibly Matt Wagner's "Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman: Trinity" TPB. Anyone here read it and have an opinion?

I haven't been buying the "Spiderman/Human Torch" miniseries despite my love for Slott's "She-Hulk", but I'll give it a go at the cheap digest price.

"Avigon" is a possibility for me, but with my unread backlog I may pass. Ditto for Gaiman's "1602" which is now in TPB.

Also noted: Warren Ellis's prose detective novel, in the Books section o' Previews. Mmmm...
