Michael O'Hare Robert Place Napton, the team behind Deity: Requeim, have got a new Image project called Flak Riot. Newsarama sat down with them for a chat and they're giving out free sketches to readers who buy and read their June-debuting Flak Riot.

Flak Riot tells the story of one Zoe Nixxon, a cute, bored, lonely file clerk who longs for a new line only to find her true calling: hunting for bounties in the lawless dimension known as the O.D.

Sometimes, one decision can indeed change everything.

The first issue came out today and I was very impressed by both the story and the art. It was a very fun read with good characters and what looks like it will be a very interesting set-up.

There are 2 main plot threads, one involving the OD ("Other Dimension") and one involving Zoe, the girl from "our world" who decides to be an inter-dimensional bounty hunter. The preview above shows the first several pages, set in the OD.

Just thought I would drop all of you a line to let you
know the Flak Riot Graphic Novel is really coming
together nicely! In fact I plan on really busting the
seams on this one by adding a bunch of pages and a
whole new short story. I also should have a publisher
announced very soon.
