Hello everyone,
I have a few questions on the how to on self publish front.

Ok i finshed all the penciling and inking and just got back from Kinko's with my 8x11.5 art. So I need to know what resolution 300 or 600 should i be using? and i usung hp scanjet 2300c scanner so what output type should i be using 265 color 8 bit, 265 greyscale or B&W 1 bit?

i'm planning on making a 24 page comic with a color cover B&W interior thinking of doing a small press run something like 200 in the hopes of sharing a table at SDCC05. So i can see what type of respounds i get with my cartoon style with the masses. also planning hnading it out to any comic editor big or small or anyone else thats looks like they have anything to do the biz. So any tips advice or whatever you want to give me i'll take....

I usually go for 600 DPI at final size for B&W art.

When I was still scanning my art, I scanned it at grayscale and then adjusted it with levels to get sharp pure black.

For color covers, I go with about 300 to 400 DPI CMYK. You have to convert from the RGB scan to CMYK.

It is best to consult your printer on what settings they recommend for best results with their printers.
