When does this story line take place? I'm reading the 40 years of spiderman on disc and am on issue #402 and it's a clone storyline. But wasn't there one earlier on too with Gwen Stacey??? Thanks.

The storyline pretty much kicks off in Amazing Spider-Man #394, with the Power and Responsibility crossover. Gwen Stacy's clone made an appearance at the end of Amazing #399, part two of the Smoke and Mirrors story. Hope that helps.

Thanks.Geez, that's gotta be horrible reading that part of ASM. Aren't all the issues segments of four-parters?

It is pretty bad. Part 2 of 4 and then no more parts to the story. Although I think I'm glad I can't read it all. It's getting a bit boring. I'm hoping they finally get it over with. I just finished #412.

It's pretty handy for figuring out where all the crossovers lead to. It gives detailed summaries of and commentary on the entire clone saga, so it will help to fill in the crossover gaps that come with just reading the ASM side of the debacle.

Thanks for the link. I've seen it before (never read it as of yet) but now I think I will after trying to read this series through the ASM title only.

There was something way back in like Issue 144 or something, right before the first app. of Ben Reilly or as the clone of spiderman.

It was in issue #149 (http://www.spiderfan.org/cgi-bin/cover.pl?80123,spiderman_amazing,149.jpg) .
First Gwen Stacy Clone was issue #144 (http://www.spiderfan.org/cgi-bin/cover.pl?80123,spiderman_amazing,144.jpg).

I realy hope they're the children of the Gwen clone.
and for MJ... it's always possible to find an explanation.

No... she walked in on Sarah kissing Peter. Peter is not having an affair it was Sarah thinking Peter felt the same way she does about him.

Its very tricky getting into this... time is a tricky thing in the MU. They were born just before Gwen died. So whats that round about? 6 or 7 years maybe?
You have to remember though their brains also matured fast as well, that was made clear. Most likley to stop thoughts I think your having, that its getting close to paedophilie (sp?).

I dunno... they both got mixed up with gangs and drugs, so I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't a virgin. She's hardly a golden girl.

Please. Don't believe JMS, they can't be real Gwen's child. And I' me sure that Gwen and Peter's relation was hotter than what JMS think.
Peter and MJ are just making fun of their scribe. :p

As long as Gwen's been dead... so about 7 or 8 years. As I said time is a tricky thing in Marvel

Any idea if there is a site somewhere that lists all of the books (without having to read the 35 part Life of Reilly review) that were associated with the Clone Saga?
Like most folks, I quit reading Spidey around ASM #406 and didn't return until Steve Skroce started penciling the book around #418. I'm not so much as interested in reading the story from beginning to end, but just trying to complete my pre-reboot collection.
