Just a little easter card from Morna and Gary. I know not everyone necessarily celebrates Easter... but many of us get a day off and that's enough for me! Gary and I have to work, but only a short day.. woo hoo!
Happy Easter to all my friends on the hellboy forum. For people I've never met you all are pretty darn awesome!

Yay! I hide eggs in supplication to the goddess Eostre!

Having kids hunt for eggs is a pagan ritual about rebirth and fertility. I don't have any kids to hide eggs for, so I'm just going to hide a bunch of eggs in the park across from my house. I'd pray for fertility, but my fiancee won't hear of it.
Incidentally, the reason that Easter is tied to the equinox and the full moon is because it symbolises the defeat of evil, night and winter by the sun and the moon. I wonder if the BPRD's case load goes down around now?

Happy Easter everyone! Now I don't really do anything very easterish, but having the day off is a nice touch and my gym is open today so that's where I'm heading once I get motivated. Maybe I'll take the pooches for a walk later, it's very spring-like out today, which is awesome!
So Happy Easter and happy weekend all, whatever you all do, enjoy your holiday!
Cheers!

Happy Easter, everybody!
This is another busy time for the fiddler - I'm at the church every night this week! Then on Sunday I'm cooking the Easter dinner for our family and friends.
Whew! I need to rest after just thinking about it!

I don't actually celebrate Easter, but my mom has been decorating my tree outside with colorful plastic eggs, so that was a fun surprise when I got home one day. But any excuse to eat eggs is a good holiday by me, I dig those holidays where you get to eat lots of food.

That takes me back to when I was a child, my grandmother teaching me to suck eggses, precious! Good times....

SNAP! This holiday's been HIJACKED!
Happy Easter, all. I don't do anything on it whatsoever, I'm not religious and I don't ever feel like getting up and looking for eggs.

a peep is the most delicious thing on the planet and the best thing about easter.
they're marshmallows shaped like tiny chicks or rabbits and covered in sugar.

Hmmm... I don't think we get those in Canada - not that I'm the most candy-savy Canadian there is!

Do 'peeps' come with Ritilin, to bring the kids down?
Also available in yellow and as bunnies.

I went to Toys R Us yesterday and saw Peep Marshmallow stuffed toys. They came in pink bunny shaped and yellow chick shaped, and they were squishy, but you can't eat them, but if you ever wanted to sleep on your marshmallow peeps, now is your chance. Get to the toy store and buy one.

I preferred letting the peeps sit unwrapped to get stale and hard and chewey, before eating them. My dad taught me that, so it was the way I always used to eat them, although some say that's wrong.
