Holy crap! I just got this game and I have to say again....Holy Crap!

This is just about the most I have been excited for a game since Final Fantasy 10. It's absolutely gorgeous! And when I got to that first boss (Hydra)...I couldnt believe my eyes. This is how I imagined games could be someday, and here it is. I know PS3 and XB2 is right around the corner, but this is I think the state of the art representative. That huge first boss is just stunning.

I have to admit, this completely is MY genre...I LOVE this fantasy stuff, so it might not blow EVERYBODY away. It's perfect for Mythology lovers though.

Has anyone else picked up this game? What do you think?

I have to also admit, I almost looked for a hint online on how to beat that first boss. It seemed like he kept recharging himslef and I was clueless. But I hung in there and eventually it appeared to me what to do. So if any of you get there and get frustrated, hold on because it eventually becomes clear what has to happen.

Im so excited to keep playing! I dont want it to end! And if the bosses get even cooler.....YAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHGHH!!!

I'm about two hours farther ahead, and it does get even more gorgeous. It's also a pretty difficult game on Spartan Mode (Difficult), but there's tiers of unlockables and I figure I ought to go for the gold early on.

I really like the gameplay, espescially the various finishing move minigames, but I love the level design even more. Some of these locations are simply gorgeous.

Glad you are enjoying this freaking amazing game as well. I bet more and more people will start getting this when word of mouth starts to spread.

Im playing on NORMAL mode. Im a wimp, but I plan on playing through this many times on harder modes before Im done with it. I already replayed the first level, because now that I understand the weapon power up, I wanted to maximize it better.

It was just as fun the second time. Now Im past Medusa and entering Athens.

Crap, what am I doing online when I should be PLAYING!!!??!!

I was sick all weekend long and called in sick to work today as well. So I had a good chance to play GOD OF WAR. Just beat the game and I have to say I am VERY satisfied.

Excellent game all around. Wish it was even longer. There are some nice goodies unlocked after you beat it. And a harder mode called "God Mode" which is VERY hard.

Anyone else thinking about getting this, PLEASE DO. You wont regret it. And if ya have any questions how to get past something, just ask here and I'll be glad to give ya a hint.

I wish all games were this amazing!

How's the storyline?

Any voice acting? Any good?

Storyline is pretty decent, although you can probably guess at least one big plot twist before they actually show it. The real kicker is the presentation. It's a mix of full animation and still figures that resembles a movie-prologue retelling of an ancient legend. The still figures they use are well-drawn, and the animations are all but perfect.

Voice acting is absolutely flawless(especially Kratos himself). I suppose some of the Athenian soldiers may be considered the weakest link(not saying much), but they tend to die quickly.
