I just got Golden Ocean, the new full length album from 50 Foot Wave. It rocks so incredibly hard. PUNKier, Harder, faster, more intense than anything Kristen & co. have ever done.

It's amazing how she can move from her roots of the early "college" hard rock to sublime folky music like Hips and Makers and then move on to such a sonic assault like this.

I know not this 50 Foot Wave you speak of. What is it?

I do love Kristen Hersh and the Throwing Muses, though. My favorites are probably HIPS AND MAKERS (of course!) and RED HEAVEN. She's a wa-wa maniac!

only detractions are that it blends together on first listen a bit and the lyrics are just as enigmatic as anything else Kristen has done.
