Well I broke down and got one. I thought I'd share my initial impressions.


I've heard people talking about nicks or lost pixels. I don't have any of those on mine so I can't say if this is commen or not.

The screen is surprisingly large and images on it are extremely crisp and clear. Spiderman 2 while not my taste in movies looks great on it.

I also tried Darkstalkers: Chronicles and Twisted Metal. Both games look very good on it. Especially Twisted Metal. They sound even better. I can't wait for some PSP RPGs.

My only complaint is that hatch where you put the memory stick in seems kind of flimsy. I'm worried that it'll snap way too easily.

The store I work at got some in and I was checking it out. I was very impressed. I'd heard the screen was supposed to be but damn, the thing is huge! Also, it has really nice graphics, and movies look very crisp and clear on it as well.

$250 is a bit steep for me, but I'm definately thinking of picking a PSP up some time in the future.

I'm picking mine up tonight after work. I'm getting Twisted Metal with it, so it's good to hear some positive feedback on it.
