I was of two minds before. I like Morrison sometimes, but am not a fan of the artist.

Then I read Morrison's comment that early on, Clark is going to tell Lois that he's Superman and she won't believe him.

I love that.

LOVE that.

What excited me about this series is that Morrison said this will be his love letter to Superman ....all he's ever wanted to say about Supes , basically . I thought that was touching and his excitement about the project really makes me anxious .

He made a comment that he would like to write the book beyond his 12 issue run... I would love to see him do that and I urge Dan Didio to make sure that happens. I haven't seen an issue yet but I know Morrison is the best possible creator to be writing Superman right now.

Grammer aside, I'm really looking forward to Superman All Stars.

I have faith that Morrison will write a Superman story for the ages. Lets hope so.

He's a comedy white bloke who thinks he's black character. He was very funny in the early days, when he interviewed people who didn't know he was a joke, but you don't see him much these days. I think his creator (Sacha Baron Cohen) realised he was beginning to outstay his welcome.

And so does his stay on this board. Stop the joke, it wasn´t funny from the beginning.

Back to topic...I was excited since the news started making the rounds, that Morrison is writing the All-Star Superman series.

Agreed. I can't wait to read Morrison's work on Superman, without continuity involved.

However, I wonder how would Morrison write Superman in a main Super-book.

After seeing how far out of his way Millar went to bash "All Star Superman" because "It's not as cool as the stuff I do in Ultimate Marvel! Nyah!" in the latest Wizard, I'm more excited to read it than ever.

His taste seems to be 90 degrees away from mine, so I'll probably like it a lot. :)

Yeah, the Superman books are all looking pretty good this summer, the summer of "S"! ;)

With the summer of 2006 definately being the summer of the "S" for movie-goers! ;)

Is that so? If so, I find this very odd, given the fact that Millar wrote, along WITH Morrison, Waid and Peyer (sp?), the Superman 2000 project (that never saw the light of day. Damn the guy who pulled the plug on that project. DAMN HIM TO HELL!!!).

Every time I read one of Grant's comments about the upcoming All-Stars, I can feel how excited HE is to be writing it, and that makes me excited.

Excitation all around!

I'm thinking that this could be up there with Moore's "Supreme" stint, and "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?"

Needless to say, I'm giddy with excitement.

Edit: giddy with excitement? Is that redundant, or is it just me?

Every couple of years they revamp the Superman books, I always give them a try, and I always hate it.

All-Star with Grant Morrison will be the exception. His interviews about the subject give me hope, and he really nailed Superman in his JLA run.

And I like the freedom he's given, continuity-wise, with this; much like Ross and Dini were given with their treasury books.
