Newsarama is reporting that a new Jenkins/Romita Jr Sentry mini was announced at Wizardworld LA. What do we think, it's supposed to take it's lead from the Sentry arc in NA?

Yeah, apparently it will directly following the events of the Sentry arc in New Avengers. Its an eight issue mini, unfortunetly, and not an ongoing as was earlier speculated.

I for one, am totally stoked for this. I love the Sentry, and I am looking forward to this as much as any project. The fact that they got the man, Paul Jenkins, to do it just makes it that much sweeter. Oh, and I hear that John Romita Jr can draw alright too. ;)

Well, more shading for this one. Oh well. ;)
And it should be ongoing, damnit! But that might dull the impact. :(

Well, my thinking is that Marvel cant turn away a moneymaker. So, if the mini sells well enough, I think a Sentry ongoing is a possibility. I mean, they are publishing ARANA, you're telling me The Sentry couldnt do better?

I just hope that Arana keeps going so she doesn't have to end up in YA. :p

Jae Lee should be drawing it.

True, but I like JRJs work. It could be far worse, and his Void would rock!

I'm a little iffy on Romita Jr. as the artist for the title, but I'll be there.

I wish Lee was back on board though.

I'm not a baby Romita fan either... but the character is interesting enough to make me buy it regardless of the art.

Romita JR's art is suffering right now from Janson's very loose inks. Janson is a very brush heavy inker, so he does not ink in fine detail like Art Thibert or Tim Townsend.

Sounds interesting, like JRJR, his Black Panther stuff is awesome, and I like Jenkins stuff, so i'm gonna be there to buy it, this character is starting to appeal to me very much

Umm, you do know that's to show that he's a bit disturbed after his wife's death, right? Not how he'd normally act?

Also, I do not think the Carnage symbiote can be killed so easily anyways ;) .

Certainly not in the Marvel universe, where dead simply means gone for a year or three before coming back... :p

well assuming fire still kills symbiotes you would think reentering the atmosphere would fry it..but who knows

Cletus should be gone for good though, a human can't come back to life after being torn in half

But Kletus and Carnage are pretty much the same thing now, right?

Yeah, but the Carnage symbiote could possibly survive in space, whereas Cletus is most certainly DEAD.

Hmm, is it possible for the symbiote to repair Kletus's body if it was as mangled as the Sentry left it? Although NA#2 didn't really show Kletus's guts coming out or any part of his human body but who knows...

More like 5 or 6 years, lately.

Or 1-3 months as the case has been in certain recent X-men books....
