After careful consideration, I think I am going to pick...Kyle Rayner. I am a big GL fan, and I think Kyle would get along with Spidey very well. I know Marvel has Quasar, but still.

Martian Manhunter might be a good choice. He'd fill a very similar role in New Avengers to what he does in JLA - the telepath who holds them all together. Plus, his personality and presence feels somewhat similar to Vision, so he would help plug that gap.

While I think she'd also make a great X-man, and I voted for her in a similar question on the X-boards, I'd go with the title character from Image's Fathom series. I don't read it but from what I've read OF it, it could work.

Although reading back through the posts, someone said Savage Dragon. Now there's an intruiging yet fitting idea.....
