Looking For an Artist...

Hi I am thinking of writing a couple series and have written some 80 to 150 pagers before but never had illistarations for them. I am now thinking of doing some Avengers stuff and maybe even some cross overs. Also I am thinking of doing an X-men story that I really love. Now I would like if you guys could submit some samples if you were willing to work with me. Mind you my stories are not written yet and I will be writeing them soon. Please submit some if you are willing to make a comic with me. Also PLEASE don't flood the thread with a hundred pics keep it to a 6 image limit thanks :)

Thanks but I really only want artists who are really familliar with all Marvel characters including some obscure ones. I only plan on doing Marvel cause I personally dont like the other comic companies. But thanks anyway I do appreciate it :D

I'm sure you'll find some there as well. This Is CBR and Its a huge site. I'm sure someone there also draws Marvel charactors. Check out Howyadions sketch of the day among others.

Well I will post there if this does not work out I guess I will just try this first cause I have been looking there and ur right there r some cool artists but first I will try this thanks!

what have u got against other comic companies? i remember when i was very young i used to only support marvel, but you cant go on appreciating comics by just reading marvel my friend.
as you get older you will most likely see yourself following the works of your favourite writers/artists more so than your favourite publisher. so just remember that marvel is not a big house of good ideas, they are just a publisher. it is the writers and artists who come up with the characters and stroylines that you know and love. case in point, i have stopped and started reading xmen titles depending on what writer/artist combination have been on board. i do not continuously buy xmen comics just because its xmen, if i did that then i would be just as bad as buying brandname clothes like nike just because its nike.

I only like MARVEL because of there style. I like the idea of having such Grey characters and death while keeping it for kids unlike MR titles. I just preffer there stuff and I have no real use for the stories of say DC. I have read them and I find them simple, childish and kinda bland comparably. I really like a few of there characters though like Green Lantern. I am just a Marvel person because of there style ya know. I will always like them and I am not a brand person cause I really think they put some crap out if ya ask me. I am just not into dull characters like Flash, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. I guess thats just who I am ok.

flash, batman and supes arent dull. they are just characters who have been around a long time and it is hard to find good writers to spice things up, but i know for a fact at any given time, either of those dc comics could be in the top 10 comics for the month. It just depends on the direction writers take the characters.

It's not that they have no good stories its that I dont like the characters themselves. Superman he is the ultimate goodie to shoes and is so freaking strong only a ultra rare omega rock can kill him. Wonder WOman she is well just so "libral" to me. I am conservative and also find more of that writing in Marvel. Flash he is jsut so annoying with his little catch lines and clolorful look. He's like a super speedy chimpmunk always making a stupid remark on speed. Batman is ok really. I only hate that he is always on the side of good. Here's what I mean more simplified for you:

Punisher: Good? Bad?
Hulk: Good? Bad?
Batman: Good
Flash: Good
Superman: Good
Wonder Woman: GOod
Elektra: Good? Bad?
Hal Jordan: Good? Bad?
X-men: Good (to readers) Bad (to general public)

*Note* I like Hal Jordan a lot so there is an exception but do you see what I mean now. Its not jsut the stories its the whole concept of the characters ok now can you guys just submit some art! LOL

Hawkeye...the problem here is that Marvel comic characters are kinda sorta copyrighted.

Writing your own stories is one thing, but you can't legally publish a comic, ashcan, whatever, using the characters. A few years back Marvel *did* shut down sites that used their characters without permission...

I am just doing this for practice not actual money man I already have my own characcters I just want to grow up to work for Marvel.

Most artist wouldn't want to work creating long comics unless it was for pay or get them a paying job. I would suggest trying out some shorter scripts for perspective artist.
