I used to read Spiderman alot because my big bro has a big stack of spiderman. I remember reading the Revalations 4 of 4 (yes prolly a lil old) and seeing Norman's pumpkin bombs exploding in his lap after Peter pitched em up as he was shooting something at Peter.

I shouldn't be surprised because no one really dies in comic books, thay almost always manage to come back triumphantly.

Btw, I'm getting back into American comics and might be interested in Spiderman. Anyone have a good place to start for someone.

Personally my fav spiderman enemies are Norman Osborn (who i thought was portayed badly in the first Spiderman movie, not sick, sadistic enuf for me) and i have always liked Venom (whom i hopew they do in a future movie).

Marvel did this big story called "The Clone Saga" and just plain didn't know how to end it. So they had Norman return and revealed him to be the mastermind behind the whole thing.

Some Spider-Man runs are coming to an end right now. Paul Jenkins, after writing Spidey for around 5 years, closes up shop with Spectacular #27 (the last issue of this volume). There's a story running from #23-26 but Jenkins didn't write those issues.

Amazing Spider-Man is ending a 4 part story called Skin Deep in Amazing #518. That story started in #515.

Mark Millar's MK Spider-Man run ends at #12. Reggie Hudlin begins his run in #13.

And Spider-Man joined the Avengers in the recent New Avengers relaunch. #3 was the issue where Captain America asked him to join.

Start with Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1: Power and Responsibility and/or Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1: Coming Home
