What's it got added to it? What makes it different? Why does it cost more?
Thanks

If you already have a copy of the first issue, or if your store still has some in stock, you are better off saving the extra cash unless you are a YA nut. My store had both, I flipped through the Director's Cut, and then I decided to save $1.75 and get the original version.

You talking about me? :D
Bought it, because I'm a YA nut. :p The character designs and unused cover sketches were cool, the look at the script nice and the interview (taken vom SBC) was informative.

Were they the same sketches from that Young Guns sketchbook? I didn't see this or a couple of other books I wanted this week in my shop because either they were sold out (STOP UNDER-ORDERING DAMMIT!) or the shop is continuing that nasty habit of not carrying some books at all.
I'd probably buy it if the extras were worth it and the sturdier cover doesn't hurt.

You know , so far the Director's Cuts haven't really been living up to their name . The only one I've bought so far that was really loaded with extras was the FF # 500 . One thing I particularly liked was that it showed every FF cover ever .

This issue also has some character profiles in it. As far as Director's Cuts go, this one seems to have a little more bang for the buck than the last few.

I know the only good thing about the Director's Cut for New Avengers was the profile of the villians at the end. The Young Avengers Director's Cut has profiles of the characters in the story. If my store still has any copies I am going to get it for that.

I bought the Avengers 500 Director's cut and was really disapointed that the interview was a standard internet interview, not a Marvel in house interview like they used to do back when they published Marvel Age. The Sketches and a possible script do not make up for this. I want original material for my 3.95. Not just stuff sitting around the office.
I think I am going to be a Big Young Avengers Nut and I will not buy this unless it is at a reduced cost.

Not only does that help you shop for back issues and find things to fill your holes, but I'll bet it also shows up who the "good" artists, and marginal cover artists were.
(HINT, HINT) Look at the first 108 covers. Can you find a bad design in the bunch? Can you find more than one or two that look anything cartoony like the two hundred plus did?
