I used to collect Spidey on and off and as such I never got the whole story sometimes.
If anyone could answer these questios it would be much appreciated:
1) After the 2 parter in PP Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man #12 in 1999 "Another Return of the Sinister Six" what happened with senator ward? He suddenly had these weird powers and then - ?
2) What was that whole Identity Crisis thing Peter had when he was Dusk and the other three? (I only had the issue where he went into the negative zone and became dusk so I don't really know much about it at all)
3) This'll be old news, but in the issue of Amazing #12 above there was this thing on Mysterio at the end. If it's not Quentin, who was it?
I know i've got some more, but that's all I can think of now. Thanks!!

Something to do with Z'noxx aliens. Seriously, I don't remember the details (and thank a merciful lord for that). Basically, the writer (Howard Mackie) created the mystery surrounding Ward, with no story to back it up (he had a habit of doing this). A few years later, Marvel had a company-wide crossover called "Maximum Security" where aliens invaded Earth. So in the Spidey part of the crossover, Mackie used the opportunity to make Ward an alien, and imbued with some weird alien power.
2) What was that whole Identity Crisis thing Peter had when he was Dusk and the other three? (I only had the issue where he went into the negative zone and became dusk so I don't really know much about it at all)
This was an extremely silly premise (you could tell the editors came up with the "event" first and then shoehorned in a plot) that somehow ended up being a good story thanks to the individual writers.
Spider-Man was framed for murder (a-GAIN), and Norman Osborn put a $5 million dollar bounty on his head. So Peter couldn't go out as Spider-Man without everyone and their mother trying to capture him. So Spider-Man adopted four different identities: Prodigy, Ricochet, Hornet, and Dusk. Each one fought different types of crime, had different public personas, and different powers (Prodigy only used super strength, Ricochet only used agility).
The best application of this idea came when he fought Roughhouse and Bloodscream. Peter started the fight in his Ricochet costume, then ducked around a corner and came back as Prodigy, and so forth. He kept it up for the entire fight and made it seem like he was an entire team of guys. :)
3) This'll be old news, but in the issue of Amazing #12 above there was this thing on Mysterio at the end. If it's not Quentin, who was it?
God, is this a convoluted answer. :) The shortest possible answer is that the last guy to wear the fishbowl was Danny Berkhart, the second Mysterio. It's never been revealed in-story, but that's the position of the Spidey offices.

The arc Sean referenced in repsonse to the second question seems interesting: anyone know if it's available in a trade?
