Oaky, I will be the first to start the discussion thread on this issue. Without giving away any spoilers, I must say that this issue is one of the best ones yet. I can't wait until the story arc comes to it's conclusion next month.

It's really difficult to make many comments on a book that is so consistently GOOD every month.

I am kinda new to this book. Someone pointed me to the trade (The First Hundred Days) and...immediately...I was just blown away. I got and read issue #9 which I really liked as well, but am slightly lost, having not read 6-8.

I'm off to the store today to try and track down back issues so I can get back on track.

Awesome book, though.

Did anyone else's copy have a printing error where the first 6 pages and last 6 pages were repeated? I get the impression that I'm missing a significant amount of story, so I can't really make a valid judgement on the issue.

However, even with about half the issue missing, it was one of the better reads of the week.

Yikes. That would piss me off. Before I buy my copy today, I'm going to have to check for that.

No spoilers! What fun is that!

It was a great issue. I especially like how Mitchell's "JAM!" brings us back to the 1st issue.

My guess is that one of the things we thought we learned in a previous issue turned out to be mistaken...I have to give Vaughn a "hand" for the misdirection.

woo i loved the misdirection

and how did the killer get to hundred's place?!?!

so cool this book. i'm actually thinking it reads better in trades because of the diverse cast.. but can't bear not to have ex machina to read every month..

My issue had some sort of glue inbetween some of the pages in the middle of the book, so opening the book tore some of the surface paper from the pages, wrecking a bit of the image. Damn.

I just love this book i would really like to know how B.K.V can be so good all the time.

I loved the last page though it just made me want the next issue so much more than ever before.

So glad my copy was ok sorry to everyone else whose wasnt its really annoying when you cant enjoy a story cause of a printing error.

Keep forgetting to comment about this wonderful issue.

I was wondering where Vaughn was going to take Hundred's take on gay marriage. When I heard what Hundred said in his speech, I jumped back in my chair and stood up. I was in shock that finally (!!) someone else suggested something I'd been saying all along! No gay marriage, no straight marriage, just call them all civil unions for the state and leave marriage (and the whole marriage debate) in the churches. This is such a simple and workable plan, I can't belive no one in the public and governmental debate of the issue has even mentioned it as Hundred did. I am so damn greatful to Brian K Vaughn that someone else, someone in a major publication even, has poposed this idea. It was so damn frustrating that no one else had seen this solution and people were so damn wrapped up in their politics and their crusade that they avoid reaility and any real solution.

Gosh dammit. I wish to God we had stright forward, centralist, and realist politicians like Hundred in real life. He's got my damn vote.
