Hmmm....Deadworld #2 is solicited for June 22. Has anybody seen anything for #1 anywhere?

I believe it was solicited a month or two ago, but it's not out yet.
Man, there's so much good stuff on tap! Of particular interest to me is The Ride TPB (I've been waiting patiently for it), and PvP (as usual). Some of the other stuff looks really good, too, (like Gødland, Battle Pope, The Expatriate and Freedom Force) but I'm holding out for the trades. And they can't come too soon.
Dig that Sam and Twitch cover. Bitchin'!

Several new titles coming out.
I'll be checking them all out except for Battle Pope.
Is that suppose to actually be "Jesus" as his sidekick, or just someone called Jesus (hispanic pronunciation)? The picture looks like it's suppose to be a spoof of the former. Or maybe it's suppose to mock the catholic church hierarchy? Yeah, I don't need to go there.

Battle Pope is a blasphumus riot, and that is Jesus in the biblical sense, he is the side kick.
And as bad as it looks, it works, and works well and accualy has a kind of uplifting tone, the Pope's a good guy, but a Badass God Guy who kicks Satan's ass.
Battle Pope was already published independently by Robert Kirkman years ago, it's getting colored now and reprinted by Image.

Not a whole lot changes for me from month to month for Image titles:
Battle Pope #1
Invincible #24
The Walking Dead #21
Yep - I'm a certified Kirkmaniac!
Tomb Raider: The Greatest Treasure of All
I was interested in reading this when the TR series was first released years ago. Now, I'm not so sure but I'm willing to give it the flip test when/if it finally reaches stores.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. I've never read it, but from the way you describe it, it sounds a little like The Simpsons -- irreverent but with an underlying moral. Is this a fair assessment or is it simply irreverent? Either way, I'm there.

It's really hard to discribe, it certainly doesn't teach any life leasons, or show case scripture. But it doesn't insult God as much as you'd think.
At it's core it's a story about how Armogedon came and Demons and Man made war with each other and came to an Armistance. Now the world is co-inhabited by Man and Demon sideby side. Not all Demons are bad either, they just never got a break until now. God, having set the end of the world into motion doesn't want to get involved with man any more, but at the same time he doesn't want to abandon us. So it finds the last Pope, now a run down drunk of a man since people arn't very religious any more now that God left them to the wolves, and impowers him to be a Superhero for GOD!
It's comedy, it's action, it all in good fun. I don't think anyone will go to hell if they read it.

Sounds good. Maybe I'll just be reincarnated as a cricket. ;)
