In a couple of weeks, I'm going to be off on an archaeological expedition to northen Wales, and I'm going to be bringing a few books along to keep me company. I've also decided to bring one graphic novel or trade along too, but I don't know which one. I've narrowed it down to four...

Akira Vol. III - The last volume blew me away (and that last page...damn) so I thought about getting this. Bit pricy though, and I did go through the last volume awful quick.

Project: Superior - Been hearing a lot of good about this. Plus it's got a piece by the creative team from Street Angel, which practically screams quality.

Queen and Country Vol. I - I started reading this series with issue #25, but I don't have any back issues. Maybe I should start now?

Teenagers from Mars - The tale of isolation, love, anger, the idiocy of small minded morons, armed rebelion and comic books. Plus it has the best title of any comic book ever!

So, which one should I take with me to Wales?

I've read all the Akira books, and it blew me all the way to hell and back. It's a wonderful, creepy, sickly story that's kinda like a trainwreck; you cringe at all the gory parts but can't seem to look away.

So yes. Akira = good.

Personally I'd go with Akira. Great stuff.

Try Queen & Country. It gets even better as it goes along.

Teenagers from Mars is getting excellent reviews, and from what I hear it's pretty much self-contained. Sounds like your best bet, to me.

They are ALL absolutely GREAT books. I'd recommend Teenagers From Mars.

Looks like Q&C is well in the lead here.

Y'know, I was kinda expecting more votes for the indie stuff. But what do I know.

There is still time! Vote damnit! This isn't an election, this is something that matters!

Well, Q&C isn't Marvel of DC mainstream. Although Oni is a known and fan favorite publisher, it's still indie ;)

Plus, I think there are alot of Ruckaholics here :)

Hi, I'm SGG and i'm a Ruckaholic.
