Not been here in awhile, been pretty busy working, but I have to make time for Hellboy. Recently read both issues of HB/BM/SM, Loved it have to say. I really liked the Lovecraft influence going on in it. Any new news on HB2? I'm dying over here.

The only potential news is that Hellboy might not be Guillermo's next film after Pan's Labyrinth. According to posts on the chud.com messageboards. Don Murphy (producer) claimed that At the Mountains of Madness was Guillermo's next film.

That would knock it back a couple of years which would cool enthusiasm for a sequel.
But it puts the focus back on the comics where it should be. Besides, Hollywood will be crawling all over itself to option Mikes Vampire graphic novel instead of looking at sequels.

It wouldn't hurt to do a great videogame based on the movie universe to keep folks interested though.
I don't think there's been an official announcement but I think the deal was signed with a video game company a couple of months ago. Sorry, don't know any names.

Any other details you've got, IM me about 'em. I might be able to figure out who it is.
That's all I know. Next time I talk to my connection I'll get names.

While I'd certainly be interested in HB2, I remember reading something about At The Mountains of Madness and really, really digging it. Something I'd definitely be interested in.
And what's this about a Vampire graphic from MM? Gosh, I must've been asleep at the wheel regarding the news about that...

Tad, you've put into words everything I sincerely feel about Mike's involvement in another Hellboy movie so soon. I completely and utterly respect his desire to be a part of the process that will create the next movie, but Mike is always saying that the drawing table is where he's happiest, and that's where I'd like him to be, at least for the foreseable future. Of course, I can wish all I want... :D

And yet it seems like some other guy will be drawing Hellboy for the foreseeable future (besides The Island). Interesting, eh?

Rick! shhhh... you're making me cry again
Look, as soon as Mike publishes his vampire stuff with a characters that make LoJo and Hellboy look dull you'll be gasping for more. He's having someone else draw Hellboy so he can start that creative process again with a new character.
Pin ups and covers are nice but I want his graphic storytelling.
