Since I'm doing my affidavit in regards to items missing in my lost truck here are the CDs that I can think of:
Dear You Jawbreaker.

Moon & Antarctica by Modest Mouse.

Hold On Hope EP by Guided By Voices. F*ck!

Worlds Apart by ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. Double F*ck! This was so new I didn't even get to rip it into MP3s.

Source Tags & Codes by ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. F*ck! I managed to recover the jewel case but no disc at the thieves' hotel room.

Staring At The Sea: The Singles by The Cure.

Fever to Tell by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

CDs I had in a CD wallet that covers my sun visor:
1965 by the Afghan Whigs

Let's Face It The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

The Uplift MoFo Party Plan The Red Hot Chili Peppers

Driveway To Driveway CD single by Superchunk.

Stay (I Missed You) by Lisa Loeb. (Umm...I had that one in there for purely sentimental reasons that we won't get into.)

There you have it. It really, really sucks that I lost that GBV and those Trail of Deads. And The Modest Mouse and Jawbreaker.
Some of them I don't think I'll ever replace, or they'll be put on a real low priority, like Let's Face It, Staring At The Sea, Fever To Tell, and The Uplift Party Plan.

On the plus side, we won't have to listen to Lisa Loeb in San Diego this summer.

I do feel your pain, though - I had about a hundred CDs stolen when my old apartment got robbed years ago.

On the biggest positive, you lost the Yeah Yeah Yeahs cd, keeping you safe from hipsterness.

Sorry to hear about that, Heffe. Like Howy, my flat got robbed years ago, and the bastards made off with around 100 discs of mine. The only silver lining to the dark cloud of the story was that I had put my initials on a bunch of my cd's when I was living with a room mate. So I wrote a letter describing my initials and sent it to all the local pawn shops, telling them that if they received any of the marked discs to contact the cops.

I got maybe 15 or so back, which is better than nothing.

It's like they were almost doing us a favor!

I hear you. Fever To Tell wasn't my most favorite CD, but I would've rather listened to that disc than the radio.

Not a bad idea, putting some sort of mark on discs. The only satisfaction I can possibly get is some of those CDs were so scratched, that the thieves couldn't have sold them at the Used CD stores.

The sentimental reason being that you're gay?

I kid.

Sorry bro. That really sucks.

That Lisa Loeb is gonna be the first CD I replace. If only just to torture you and Brett in San Diego this summer.

I can burn you Jawbreaker, Whigs, and Bosstones if you want.

No one should be devoid of Jawbreaker, and Dulli.

As I make plans to break into your home and steal a copy of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs into your collection...
