but havent seen it in stores.

It came out in paperback in 2002. It was written by DeMatteis and painted by Ashmore

I actually picked this up by mistake. I was thinking it was that Batman Elseworlds where Batman is part of the Vatican and is looking for a conspiracy that killed his parents. Don't mind it's not the one I thought it was. Always looking for new Batman stories I've missed and this one looks good. Haven't gotten around to it though as it's one of many trades I got for my birthday.

I think that might be Batman: Holy Terror, which is one of the better Elsworlds books. (which roughly translates at "it's something other than mix a DC hero with another well known story")
