The best part imo? The "assemble your own zombie" extras ... complete with KNIFE TO TH' EYE action!
I can't wait to see the HB line :)

jolly good. i dont really like them making such an obscure character, joey the ball a action figure, he was weak. I wished they made a buzzard or maybe a spider toy. lazlo would be cool as well..

I love the Goon comics and agree that there must be some better choices than Joey the Ball for the first run of figures but it makes sense in a perverted kinda way... The whole Goon comics experience is a bizarre thing and Joey fits the bill so maybe it's ok.

I'm sure Eric Powell has some sort of attachment to the character.
Good looks great!

Finally!!
Very nice paint jobs, these are some beautiful toys.
Is it just me or does that zombie look odd?

What issue does Joey show up in? I don't recognize him.

It's the paint, I think. The biohazard-orange shirt and blue jeans look too modern for The Goon, too Toxic Avenger. I'm hoping they change those paint ops.

You can find him in the Rough Stuff TPB (the comics it collects are from the pre-Dark Horse days, but Dark Horse published the TPB).
I don't think Joey's shown up in the comic since it moved to DH. Incidentally, the idea with Joey is that he's a midget who got his hand permanently stuck in a bowling ball as a child--hence the huge arm.
It raises a question for me, actually--why isn't Hellboy's right arm more muscular than his left? Unless--as the movie suggests--he pumps iron with his left arm to balance it ;)

Haven't seen anyone mention this yet, didn't know where to put the link, so here seemed as good a place.
